May 13, 2018 I'm never going to tell people they have to like TPAB. I didn't at first. After exposing myself to the genres and legacies Kendrick was drawing from, I do respect it more. The caliber of talent on the record really can't be disputed either if we're assessing it "objectively". James Fauntleroy, Flying Lotus, Terrace Martin, Thundercat, SZA, Kamasi Washington, Ambrose Akinmusire... It's a very singular project worth recognizing.
