i called this a classic at some point...man wtf

anyway, believe and arose are top 5 since 2004 and i am honestly happy revival happened just cuz of those 2 songs

but its very hard to justify how over this place this s--- was...i still listen to it casually for 5 songs wow iyg castle arose and believe but my god the rest is utter trash...there are some good gems here and there but overall wtf

when was the last tiem you heard encore? apple music makes listening to s--- dirt easy so i bumped it the other day, HOLY f--- the good stuff is good...i mean prime em good...like jesus christ good

srsly half of encore is way way way better than most trash rap nowdays...i dont enjoy mumble rap and i never will

He really should have released Revival Interlude transitioning into Believe as the first single. Imagine the hype and the video if the first thing you heard off Revival was that beautiful Interlude and the video to that minute of singing is just clips showing him all through his career and the years, the awards, the controversy, the performances, maybe even rehab, the stars he worked with, 8 Mile, etc.....just the incredible career he had and then after the singing going into the "Do You Still Believe!?" and have a video for that song. That would have been dope.

Nice to see that Believe is getting some love around here, it wasn't praised much on hhs

I probably listen to it the most off the album cuz Castle and Arose are not the type of songs you can just casually listen to, you have to be in a certain mood for them imo. Other than that I have no complaints, both are dope.
Believe was a risky move but it payed off IMO.

Walk On Water is great too but the rest is just...not made for the type of audience I belog to, to say the least. I don't understand who was it made for though cuz he kept spitting long a--- verses while having random pop singers sing the hooks in between them. Those who like pop don't care about his lyrics and those who like rap don't wanna hear pink sing for 2.5 minutes.
But pop hooks aside, content wise, all those other songs are just less appealing versions of his older songs. All on all, a major flop.

And river could have been a world wide number one hit, if it wasn’t for Eminem’s s-----y verses. Ed’s hook was amazing and sunk you into the song but then Eminem’s choppy flow then resorting to “ex-lax” like it’s so clever of a line ruined the song quick. Maybe they should have chose a different beat idk. Em just couldn’t rap or ride the beat to make it listenable. I remember trying to force myself to like the song but couldn’t. I’d be so pissed if I was Ed, but he looked up to eminem when younger so it was a nostalgia feeling for him. I wish he would re do river with a new flow and new voice. The song could (should) have been huge.

Idk how you can rank believe and arose that high. Believe did have some high points I enjoyed but then he suddenly went off beat again mumbling words together. Then talking about turds.

I enjoy castle more than arose, but I could see how die hard eminem fans enjoy arose and believe. The album was a complete piece of
s--- overall. I mean it was worse than I even expected it to be.

And this was the first eminem album that there was no hype other than the leak day. Once the majority of people listened to the album it went irrelevant quick. If it was a better album, it definitely would have made this forum more active. I actually feel bad for eminem with this album because he truly believed people were going to be blasting that “black boy black boy” anti cop song. Eminem needs to go back to relapse style but rap about normal, updated s---. Be cocky. His flow was on point and now he just can’t rap or ride a beat.

I was mowing the lawn the other day and tried giving revival another listen and holy h--- I didn’t realize how bad it really was until then. That offended song was straight embarrassing and damaged his career wtf was his camp thinking letting that track on the album. Castle is a good song, however it’s basically the same s--- he said about hailey and his issues on previous albums and it just got stale after a few listens. Still think the majority of the song was made back in 09-08.

This album is embarrassingly bad.

Eminem released a pathetic album, the good songs are barely a 7/10

And i agree that the bad songs on encore are more enjoyable than this piece of s--- album it made me embarrased to be an eminem fan i dont even consider myself a fan anymore.

100% agree.
Recovery is a classic and was the last time Eminem was huge.
MMLP2 and Revival are bad attepms of emulate the recovery era. And yes, Revival is his worst project
