Lol Drake has to cheat the system to make big numbers. Shows how terrible he is at making good music

People dont hate Eminem because he is Eminem.

People usually hate Eminem because of the fans.

Just shows the difference between a good album with zero promotion compared to a lackluster Revival album with 2-3 months of s--- promo.

Happy for Eminem to be honest. Hopefully this shows him how he should move forward with future releases.

If would have been released Kamikaze instead of Revival back in December 2017, would have blown up thanks to all that "promo"

This is not really true. But pretty sure the fact that Em has a large a--- fanbase that actually makes do big numbers is very disturbing to some haters.

    It's a package of things.

Those things you mention are all major factors in the hate... Imagining really disking his music too alongside all of those facts.

It doesn't excuse it, but you can certainly see why some people hate anything attached to his name. Em has some of the most biased unfounded hate ever in hiphop IMO.

Yeah, that hating Em thing has been strongly becoming more common since his comeback in 2009. After MMLP2 it started to become really evident and increased more but it's only in US. Revival hate in US was the obvious result of this. I mean if the album was really as bad as they made it outta be and it was the real reason US people ignored the album and sh---ed on it, then why didn't it happen same in UK too ? I mean UK people speak english as their main language too. lol. I'm happy about that stupid hate thing after all. Kamikaze wouldn't exist otherwise.

Lol. That could be said about almost every album that reached like a million people in a country. I don't think they hated it blindly or ignored it like US people did.

You're just speculating. I live in Europe( The Netherlands) and even though American hip hop is popular, most people listen to the local artists. So it's very likely a lot of people don't even know about the album. Eminem isn't as big/relevant as Drake and Kendrick in Europe.

So what ? Most people listen to local artist in every country. Doesn't change the fact that Em is one of the most relevant artists. Eminem is bigger than Drake and Kendrick that's not even a question. He might not be more relevant than them but he is as relevant as them. What's your point anyway...

I just dont think we were very vocal about it. In the UK we respect Legends a lot more than US does i think. Even if something isnt good we dont bash on Legends and go out of our way to make it known. If something isnt good we just say it isnt good and move on. From where I'm from, I know people didn't like the album at all and much much prefer Kamikaze. Revival had imo, 3 maybe 4 great tracks and the rest was forgettable or subpar. Out of 19 tracks thats poor. Furthermore, the beat selection wasnt good at all across the board, which contributed to it not having much replay value. Kamikaze was needed for the twilight of Eminem's career.

I agree with Kamikaze part. Well, it's exactly how it suppossed to be but those 3-4 great tracks are actually flawless. Half of the album is pretty good. Walk On Water, Believe, Castle Arose are flawless. Revival is gonna be considered more than 3-4 great songs in few years. I can gurantee that. People sleeping on it hard. I didn't have problem with beat selection but I can respect that opinion.
