Sep 6, 2018a week has passed by, oh my !
and im still on that kami high !
thought i would start this thread with bars, hi @StanSXN ...its time to get into this
Ringer
Not your typical structured song, from a fa---- point of view it seems like its all over the place, but for the trained ear, this is Eminem in a boxing match proven why and how he is the best, using many different flows without losing a step...lyrics wise its perfect tho it dwindles a tiny bit in the middle
best scheme: Line in the sand
Rating: 9.5
Greatest
i have been vocal about my hatred to rappity rap eminem, however he is using it perfectly here, he is actually sticking to a subject unlike his previous efforts..hook and beat amazing
scheme: m16 (Actually best scheme on entire album)
rating: 9
Lucky you
i wouldnt be surprised if this song is considered Em greatest or in the convo at least in the next 5 years...there is zero flaws in here, absolute perfection
scheme: what happened to rap
rating: 10
Normal
this is the weakest song on the album, but even the weakest song on kami isnt bad...he is obviously copyin drake but em has always been s-----y with relationship songs due to not having sex in a long time
scheme: i dunno tbh
rating: 7
SS
this album showcased perfectly why personal songs dont work for replay value...while this song is amazing its my least favorite...its too personal....however thankfully the addictive beat makes re-visiting a fun ride
scheme: singing part in third verse
rating: 9
Not Alike
finally...a royce verse i loved and not corny...phenomenal hook and Eminem sub machine gun with the beat switch is probably my favorite part of the album...it legit scary moment and i am sure kelly farted first time he heard that
scheme: nina
rating: 9
Kami
finally...a fun song that works!...this is the first great fun song Em made since without me...and this proves em can get away with some lyrics if the song is actually good
scheme: the hook
rating: 8
Fall
i didnt like this at first, it felt too slow for Eminem...but by my third listen i was in love...Eminem doesnt do this type of songs often...it almost felt like a romance song if you didnt understand English...the methodology of this song is say more with less..he owned everyone with saying as least as possible
scheme: inspired
rating: 9.5
nice guy
song is slept on...hard....i was too sleeping but the alarm hit...song is a must on an album full of hate..full of attacks...we needed someone to remind us Em is a nice guy..addictive hook and beat
scheme: s--- my d-ck
rating: 8
Good guy
i loved this song since the first listen..and i got hated on...slowly ppl admitting how good this song is, sadly not enough verses
scheme: hurts my core
rating: 9
Venom
VENOMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM...my personal favorite song...the energy is absolute phenomenal and not like that s-----y phenomenal song
scheme: marvel that
rating: 9
final verdict: too early to call classic but if someone paint you a blue drawing is there a chance that drawing will be red in 5 months? tho i cannot call it a classic yet im sure it will be
i encourage you all to also rate the album with me

The ringer : 8/ totally sets the mood for the album. He just rips s--- apart
Greatest : 7 / good but drags at the end
Lucky you : 9 / finally rapping fast without choppy flow. And he manged to outdo joyners verse which was already incredible.
Normal : 6 /nothing special but it's not skip worthy
Stepping stone :7 / i have exact same opinion as you. Personal songs for the most part don't have much replay value but stepping stone is a good listen.
Not alike: 8 / love this beat. Suited Em really well. Royce verse is dull..sounded like hes not even interested.
Kamikaze :8.5 / finally a fun song by Em which actually a b-----r.
Nice guy.: 8 / s--- MYY DIIIICK. glad Em replaced skylar with this new chick. She did great on both songs.
Good guy : 9.5/ my fav song on the album.
Venom: 9/ it maybe just a promotional song for a movie but it suited perfectly as an outro.
Final thots: album was perfectly executed and achieved what it was aiming for with Zero filler.

The Ringer:
By far the best first track on an Em album since White America. Bad Guy Verse 4 is insane and a Top 10 Verse from Em for me, but the rest, ugh...
The Song foreshadows very well what the listener has to expect from the rest of the record...
Rating: 9
Greatest:
Like the intro a lot, the beat is great, the hook is also kinda catchy and the verses(especially Verse 1 and 3) + his delivery are pure fire. The M16 Line is maybe the best punchline of the whole album.
Rating: 9.5
Lucky You:
Best Track of the album for me. Joyner and EM murdered that s---. Dope Hook, great Flows. EM's Verse on here is one of his best ever.
Rating: 10
Normal:
Another relationship song from EM. What a surprise...
But his singing kinda works here really well.
Rating: 7.5
Stepping Stone:
He sounds like 2003/2004 EM on here. Very calm flow, like the singing part in Verse 3 a lot.
"D12 is over"
Rating: 9.5
Not Alike:
EM murdered MGK on his verse. All after the beatswitch is 100/10. He really snapped on here. The Verse from Royce is great too.
Rating: 9
Kamikaze:
After the disaster with the Remind Me, Heat and Offended songs on Revival we finally get a fun song which works quiet well. The hook is kinda catchy after a few listens. The second beat is great and his lines hilarious
Rating: 8.5
Fall:
Love that song. He flows godly on here, no really fast rapping, nice hook and beat. And his lines against Budden hurt Joe so much, that he recorded a 90 min. podcast and totally lost it...
Rating: 10
Nice Guy:
Like the beat a lot. The "s--- my dig" Line is kinda childish but hey, where're on an Eminem album.Second Verse is great.
Rating: 8
Good Guy:
God, this beat is so nice and the singing in the background is wonderful. EM maybe delivers his best flow of the whole album on here. Very calm and catchy.
Rating: 9.5
Venom:
Great Closer for the album. Sick beat, dope and addictive hook from EM and i always have the "knock, knock, let the devil in" line in my head. Great 3rd Verse.
Rating: 9
Overall:9/10 and by far his 4th best album. -

The ringer= 10/10 The amount of anger is impressive and also keeping his calm is outstanding, his wordplay combine with texture of his imagination of rhyme is unreal, this track is truly a melody of pure anti stress for eminem and also for his most dedicated fans bcuz its everything you wanted him to do since 2009
Greatest= 8.5/10 Maybe the most calm et collected he sounded on a track since « bad guy », this song is a revival for the roots for him as he extends once again his worldplay charisma as wells as unique beats and impeccable delivery, although i will love like that he demonstrate more creativity with the content of the track its still a dope track
Lucky you= 10/10 One of the greatest eminem songs in his long list of many, this songs tho is one of the RARE ones where almost everybody can say that eminem really went in, everything about that track breathe « slim shady-esque » as he use his old tricks and go into new places at the same time. S/O to joyner lucas for giving a memorable verse also
Normal= 8/10 This song is maybe the most soft on the album as you would say but the vibe and the eminem touch on it makes it stands out out of the revival-esque ratings, the beat switches really puts you in a good mood if you relax your ear and relax lol
Stepping Stones=7.5/10 Now this song is my least favorite and maybe its bcuz of mmlp2 or revival but i cant stand eminem rapping over a rock beat anymore lol song is lit tho if think about the content and the delivery stan will love this song tho no doubt since its em talking about something that made their childhood
Not Alike= 10/10 Probably the best Royce da 5’9 verse of ALL TIME, he finally manages to use his original and perfect voice that fits well in any rap songs, Em did his thing once again with powerful punchline and haymayker of disses, the beat switches is incredible too, and fits well with the song
Kamikaze 10/10 FINALLY a funny eminem song that is actually funny lol just that deserves a 10 just bcuz lets not forget the guy is 48 fkg years old and still makes jokes about farts but this times he manages to put a smile on my face and on all others huge props to him for that
Fall 9/10 after a couple listen this song grew alot on(in) me, the disses or I would called « the response » bcuz lets not forget all the people he insulted on this have all insulting him in the first place and this what make this track so unique bcuz he did a fan wet dreams by thanos everybody that came after him
Nice Guy=9.5/10 the flow and the diabolic feature of jessie reyez made this song so chill, funny and pleasuring to listen to, the s--- my d-ck part remind me of WPG when eminem came to his house f----- his wife pissed on his front yard and shi--ing on him which probably explains this weirdo hatred for eminem lol
Good Guy=11/10 This track reminds me so much of accordions by mf doom bcuz of the vibe and the sadness emotion that was put in it is something that could change a person mindset of things, a truly marshall marthers art wow classical
Venom=9/10 A perfect way to end a an album so rich in emotion by giving one last angers with a goosebumps of a hooks that people will
remember
Overall=9/10 considering Astroworld is a 9/10 for me i think this album is a big steal in the 2nd round 60 pick of the nba and hopefully he dont go full r-----s on us and release a dkylar grey feature again thank you eminemTheBlackSheep, Alpha, Sahil Kohli and 3 others like this. -

The Ringer: 10 (had literal tears in my eyes when I played this for the first time)
Greatest: 9 (love the Kendrick flow/lines)
Lucky You: 10 (great feature from Joyner too)
Skit: Fits perfectly
Normal: 7 (good enough, better than 90% of Revival)
Skit: Hilarious, loved it, GPS feature goat
Stepping Stone: 8
Not Alike: 9 (loved the mocking/copying on this song)
Kamikaze: 7 (grew on me, hook still a little obnoxious)
Fall: 10 (LOVE this)
Nice Guy: 6 (used to skip, find it a little better now)
Good Guy: 7 (kinda bland, but better than Nice Guy)
Venom: 8 (hook is fire)

Album is great but this whole debate on quality of album and people's reception on it is just stupid. There are so many angles to love it, and so many to hate.
That fast flow was actually good//Not Fast Flow again
Angry Em is the best Em//Not that whiny Em again
He f---ing called names, that's real Hip Hop// Cry for attention
You can hate it for almost the same reasons next one is going to love it. Anyways it's a great f---ing album. I am glad he is still making music.Z Gangsta, shadyslim555 and Oldboy like this. -
