    When I first started listening to him I was in high school and he was still making the frat rap like music. It was cool to me then but I outgrew and so did he. He just continued to evolve as an artist the same time I evolved as a listener. His music was really genuine and I think that’s why so many people connected. This really sucks.

    wow, this is so sad. I remember how big of a deal Mac was in high school, when him and Wiz were really blowing up together. Seems like yesterday. R.I.P.

    Exactly—and that's one of the things I always thought was really cool about his music, is how he kinda grew up as I did. Cuz I respect not only his growth as an artist but his growth as a human being. It's heartbreaking.

    Really grew to enjoy Mac’s recent albums. Listened to GO:OD AM while running for months in 2015.

    This is the first artist’s death that I felt genuinely bummed out about

    Music gets to us in a way, regular communication can’t. We are all on this site (mostly all) because of music and our love for it. Mac was a talented dude. Really close to where I reside. Your pain you feel Can luckily be chased by popping in some of his tunes to help you cope through a f----- time.. his legacy lives on through his fans and his music.
