I'm not but not because of this, I didn't like his music that much before either.

Now if something like this was revealed about lil peep for example I wouldn't stop bumping 'Spotlight' which I did a lot lately

I think it's OK to be sad that a 21 year old was senselessly murdered while also not absolving him of the terrible things he did. It's really just a sad story from all angles imo.

I hope this helps more people believe the girl, but unfortunately I doubt it'll make any difference for the people who are somehow convinced --- is a saint.

    agreed.

He does have some great songs but have no idea some idiots stan this man.
He had demons but so do many people no excuse for his actions.

That said he didn't deserve to be murdered but definitely a long stint in jail.

No, I totally agree with that. People who were celebrating his death I found kind of odd. That’s just me though. I was talking more so about the people defending his name & how he was “never proven guilty.” s--- like that.

If you guys want to get really edgy, I'm convinced his death was completely avoidable and that his belligerence turned a robbery into a murder.

at the end of the day his name will be remembered for a very long time and you chumps will die and no one will ever know you existed. Who the f--- cares what an artist does in his personal life outside of music.

the kid was talented. he was living the american dream. I doubt a bunch of nobodies on a forum spitting their dummies out will ever have any kind of relevance at all in the grand scheme of things.

I gues people just like to do anything to feel better about themselves in their pathetic boring lives i.e judging others for doing wrong and thinking "at least it aint me"

what im tryna say is,,,,,,f--- yall!!! losers!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There are millions of “troubled beings” that struggle with mental illness/addiction/abuse etc & don’t beat women. This guy, by all standards, was a piece of s---. Maybe he was trying to right himself, maybe not but you don’t get to change the narrative because of what may have been. Also, X isn’t alone, there are tons of s-----y people in hip-hop.

I agree. To me that just goes to show that he can't help himself that even in a situation like that he was crazy enough to behave how he did. I understand being slow to give up belongings on some level tho. It's instinct. I kept my phone that way. Was a different situation tho and less severe. If 2 gunmen pull up on me like that and I don't give them whatever it is they want, I'm way more stupid than I realise. lol.

As far as him denying the domestic violence.... I never believed he was innocent anyway. Most of the people who believed that were 14 year old's who idolised him. This little recording hasn't changed anything for me. I knew all of this anyway. I'm also used to how he expresses himself.

for sure. hey man you're entitled to your opinion and I totally get it. He was wrong and did wrong on many levels. I see the positives in him too though and would still have a drink with him. Also easier for someone like me who has dug deeper into who he is and his music to see the other side more clearly. A lot of you have heard a few songs... decided it's not your thing (which is fine)... and read a few headlines/articles. Maybe you'd hate him regardless idk

EDIT: and I might talk to him for 20 minutes and decide having a drink with him was a bad idea. totally possible too :'). he's def a nutcase but I think I could connect with the side of him that I like.

why can’t i come at you with “he beats women” that undeniably justifies someone as the an awful human being. i understand that it’s hard for fans who admired him to grasp the facts, but it is what it is. i still bump his music, but you don’t see me out here defending someone who physically and mentally tortured someone. talent doesn’t give you a free pass.

You must think half the human race (potentially more) are the worst kind of humans then? You're allowed to have that perspective but from my point of view it's a shallow one.

so now you’re claiming over half of the world is domestic abusers? i never said the human race was admirable by any standards, i consider anyone who puts hands on a women disgusting. and the stories of what x did to her are even more gruesome than what i could even imagine.

those stories are threats. not what actually happened.

I don't know if half the world are domestic abusers but it wouldn't be shocking to me if half the world have gotten physical with someone at home at all. My point is more that if you're drawing the line at domestic abusers... you'd probably also judge random acts of violence, sexual abuse, paedophilia (you get the point... dark s---) in a similar way. A TON of human beings have crossed these lines. We're animals. We have animalistic impulses. We do animalistic s---. Our environment and the way the world is draws these impulses out further. These people are still human. Life isn't a fairytale and the human race will never be what we're pretending to be. The people condemning X have skeletons too. Some worse than others. The group they're judging X with would likely turn on that individual in a heartbeat the same way. It's not about admitting he did wrong. I know he did. I'm just not throwing him in the trash.
