Paul, Charlie, Enigma and Andy have obviously never seen the debate & politics section on RB which was more active than this entire forum on it's own and moderated well too. Zeb would've copped a ban even there for blatantly starting unrelated attacks on enigma or saying he should be lynched etc and not adding anything of value to the thread topic at hand. But everything else was fair game. Debating something in a heated argument with personal insults thrown in is what made the rb debate & politics section so active and funny. It's ok to insult each other and have a debate at the same time as long as it's not irrelevant shitstarting for no reason or comments like let's lynch this *brown poster*. I think Paul Andy and Enigma did a fine job here tbh

That being said we should be careful on calling to ban people just because they support Trump like you guys seem to want with trent/dna. Like do you really want political threads with just democrats posting in it? How boring would that be

We can be mature irl but let us debate stuff on the internet and insult each other at the same time. It adds more flavor.

We had a "serious" thread at RB about the Boston bombings and a known pathological lying, loser junkie came in claiming the kid killed in the blast was his cousin. Come to find out he was lying for attention. Not only was he not crucified and banned but he was defended.("Go easy on him Solo maybe he really believed it")

Thread was a classic.

Anyhow I understand that this place is a far cry from RB but let's be real. This is a "forum" that is about to flatline so why k--- active threads by banning users. And if they are that big of a problem then ignore them. Or literally put them on ignore.

the notion that this thread is just "people fighting" in a flat way is so f---ing asininely stupid. i get that this is the internet and not every discussion will or should be serious but this was about a coordinated (and ongoing, at the time) domestic terrorism campaign and it was immediately derailed by these would-be alt-right shitposters. the fact that some of us are fed up with them doesn't make the two sides comparable.
