Too many lows and flaws for this album to be considered a classic
Its highs are really really good, but the lows are disgusting.
Revival still the worst -

but seriously, no, its not a classic. not by a long stretch. It is however, miles better than anything he's released since and its still one of the most fascinating rap albums I've ever heard. Sure a lot of it is stupid but its framed in a way that makes it sound like some kind of descent into unbridled madness. It was still that same Em from the first 3 classics, the one that simply didnt give a f---, just buzzed out of his mind. If anything its only gotten better with time, especially with the trash he's released since. -

It took me 14 years to recognize this fact that Encore is Eminem’s fourth classic album.
Yesterday I accidentally turned on this album and listened to it completely from the first to the last track, and I admit that I experienced real pleasure !!! This is an incredible album, filled with burping, farting, a--- and some personal s---. This is the real Eminem, this is still the real Slim Shady!
I remember my first feelings when I bought this album in November 2004 at the CD and listened for the first time. I said this type - what the f---??
A year later, I liked many tracks from the album, but I could not recognize this album as a classic even after several years.
It took a lot of time and a lot of s-----y things to happen so that I can feel this album.
In subsequent years, I needed to listen to a lot of s-----y albums from Eminem and a lot of s-----y songs so that I could finally see the real diamond in an album like Encore.
And yesterday, while the whole world remembered such s--- as MMLP2, I accidentally went into Spotify and turned on the album Encore. And I really enjoyed listening to this album like never before! And yes, now I officially recognize that Encore is 4 classics from Eminem, for the first time in my life!
This album is still worse than his first three albums, but nevertheless, this is a real classic right now! This is a very cool album. I like every f---ing song in this album, every f---ing farting and burping in this album! This is a classic farting and burping from Eminem. This is a classic.
I like his flow in this album, I like his singing, his choruses, I like the way he talks about all the crap in this album. This is a d--- cool album.
Just listen, this is much better than everything that he has released in the last few years:

Most casual listeners would agree encore is a classic Eminem album as opposed to Eminem's actual cringe stans who like trash like bad guy and beautiful pain. In general people actually like songs like a--- like that and just lose it. Plus it has the classic Eminem style everyone loves. And it has genuine top tier material on it, as opposed to post recovery albums.

The album sucks. Putting aside the large chunk of undeniable trash, the good moments of Encore are still dwarfed by the caliber of the preceding 3 albums.
Bearing that in mind, I still think Revival is worse. That album is just horribly cynical and detached from reality. -

As for Encore, yeah other than some very bad produced songs like My 1st Single and really stupid songs like Big Weenie, I'd say Encore was pretty good. Unlike many, I really like Evil Deeds and don't really mind songs like Rain Man and One Shot 2 shot. Songs like Mockingbird, Crazy In Love are classics to me. I still think the whole album would have been classic if he replaced some songs with the leaked ones.shadyslim555, DoubleABD and THE LAST DANCE like this.
