May 10, 2018 Yea Pop-Em is by far my least favorite phase. Although I’m really confused by your 2 posts. Not 100% sure I understand what you’re trying to say. Regardless, I’ll obviously always check out any new Em music, which is why I pop in and out of here when I have free time, but in all honesty, any future albums he may have left in him really need to have a heavy Dre involvement from the beats, to mixing, and mastering. The content on Relapse is very niche and divisive, I get that, but those beats are forever timeless (this includes Refill too). I need more of that on future Em albums.
May 11, 2018 I agree with Buddha regarding Dre needing to be on future projects cheah; also forever hopeful toward a Bass Brothers reunion cheahcheahcheahhcheah
May 11, 2018 hopefully em still has some unused alex da kid beats from 2011 that didnt make it on the first one, and some unreleased 2011 era verses too
May 11, 2018 But he's always great on features // waits for people to quote some in between album duds lol // but what I mean is... he always comes with crazy verses between and during album cycles. It doesn't mean anything. Like, look at the fact "Best Friend" and "Medicine Man" came before Revival. That would indicate we were going to get the most lyrically insane, intense Em album ever. But we got dog s---. He can craft amazing verses all day long. He's incapable of crafting a great, and more importantly - authentic - album. He cannot NOT compromise now. There is no way. There will always be pop stars and s--- beats/music.
May 11, 2018 Best Friend and Medicine Man were definitely made before he had any idea about the direction of his next album though; it was closer to the style of MMLP2/Shady XV Eminem. Revival was recorded 2016-2017--the only features we got in those 2 years were No Favors & k--- For You; which I guess were kinda indications of what was to come on Revival: the former feature going at Trump a little, and the latter on some pop-s---.. ...but this time we know he's in the studio making an album and the 2 verses we've heard from the same studio sessions have been fire/angry Eminem. Basically, he wasn't making an album when he recorded verses like Medicine man and Best Friend--he started way after that--so the direction/his current mindset was different. This time (assuming what we've heard/seen is true and he IS working on an album), we know he's in the studio working with Dre (production on Revival was a big issue) and we know the current Em is angry, see: Chlora Remix & Caterpillar i.e. in theory we should be getting a motivated Eminem making an album...which Revival clearly lacked. The guy didn't have a clear direction for the album but definitely felt obliged to put one out And I hope the time taken making this album is relatively short compared to MMLP2/Revival because if he's making tracks that have been made years apart with different producers etc...there's no wonder there's no cohesion. Just got to lock Em in the studio with Dre and a few others, get him to stay the f--- away from Paul, Mr Porter & Rock Rubin..as well as any pop singers, and let Em use his anger at the critics to fuel a decent cohesive album with direction. Not just some random songs he put together over a couple years. He's clearly still got the writing ability. That’s how I see it anyway..
May 11, 2018 I think he's working on the bodied soundtrack as of now, and not another solo album. I'm sure he is no way working on a solo album just yet, and Em has had a habit of creating new issues with every album. Ever since Relapse, he's always lacked something in the overall execution of the projects he's worked on. And the Revival, had the worst mixing, production, lyrics, flows, content, cohesiveness out of all his albums, yet he doesn't even acknowledge it yet and believes people not liking pop or hating on him for Trump slandering was the only reason why people trashed his album and didn't buy it enough. If he isn't going to acknowledge the real issues with Revival, how will he ever fix that? Highly pessimistic, unexcited and sceptical about anything Em puts out next
May 12, 2018 Yeah he wont do any of those things that you / I / we want though @ the last things you listed. Just like he hasn't for nearly a decade now. It will be a long album. Full of filler. Full of pop s--- and features (already we seen him tweet himself with a new pop star singer), full of 50 producers, no cohesion, no direction, just a bunch of random Eminem songs, easy templates and trying to please all his bases. As always.
May 12, 2018 One word: Em get to hawaii and make rap songs with dre. Then get obie kendrick or 50 as features but make 100 RAP SONGS WITH DRE BEATS
