being in this thread without being caught up is absurd so ya get what ya deserve at this point

I would hope that they would bring Cranston and Paul back for something better than a meaningless cameo, I’m pretty sure Vince is on record saying they weren’t bringing back any more characters for cameos that weren’t integral to the plot so I’m hoping this applies to them. An easy way out would be for Kim to bump into Walt and show Jesse talking to Krazy 8 or some s---. I’m hoping they can come up with something more clever

We knew Gus wasn't going to die, that's sadly why the stakes weren't that high.
The s---t out scene could've been a little better too, I think they went for the tension instead of action.

...Btw I can't believe that they buried this mf [IMG] under the lab

How can Saul turn into a happy lawyer who's excited about going to work after this? I don't know how they're going to pull this off.

    Crazy a--- episode.

No way Fring would have survived this without plot armor though

They gotta de-age Aaron because otherwise this will be like 41 year old Hayden Christensen playing the 20 year old Anakin Skywalker in the flashback of the Obi Wan series.

Watched the EP again, very good still. Not a fan of the whole forget this ever happened, never talk about this moment trope they do on prequels to bypass plot holes. . Show is much better than that and normally has better ways of getting around stuff like that.

Assuming you mean Mike talking to Saul after Lalo died about it, yeah, that was cringe. They have bent over backwards trying to work around that scene from BB where Saul had a bag over his head and this just seemed like a lazy closing to it. The bit from early in the episode with Lalo talking to Saul about Nacho was good but Mike refusing to outright admit to Saul that Lalo was dead so that the BB scene makes more sense was sloppier than the standard this show has set

No he definitely didn't anticipate Gus being there. He was there to just collect the proof and then let the cartel decide Gus's fate, Gus being there/not being there wouldn't have affected his plan. In fact, Gus being there is what led to his failure and demise. As for the part where he sneaks in without anyone noticing, it was definitely bothersome. Especially since Lalo has been projected as a capable fighter and could've taken Gus's henchmen in an ambush too. That would have still been more plausible and would not have affected the story in anyway. Given how good the writing in general is, these minor things stand out so much more

Saul seems more like a coping mechanism at this point. It's Jimmy's way of escaping guilt and responsibilities. His reaction to Chuck's death after Howard took the blame is a good template using which they can flesh out the Saul Goodman persona further. So basically, in my opinion, his BB Saul Goodman persona is nothing but a facade to escape guilt, pain and responsibilities of his actions. The story should come full circle when Gene finally realises it.

I always thought we were meant to think he and Max were gay or at least heavily suspect it, but definitely a weird choice to use an entire, very long scene on it this close to the end lol

So that's how Kim's story ends... No crazy death or vacuum guy escape. Could see him reaching out to her as Gene for help so probably not the last we'll see of her

I’m pretty satisfied with that conclusion to Jimmy’s arc, I feel like even with the multi-year time-jump his transition into Saul was fully earned and that they did a good job with it. The “public masterbation” line confirms we’re in Breaking Bad times now (when he first appeared to rep badger he accidentally pulled the files out for a public masterbater) so should be quite a juicy final 4 episodes

I was expecting some Ozymandias type s--- the way the producers were hyping some sad heartbreaking stuff for this episode. Kinda disappointed with that episode

Ya this is probably what will happen. In the flash forward I think it referenced he knew someone who could help him or something right?

I forget exactly what he said, but he told the vacuum guy he'd take care of it on his own. He doesn't seem to have any support in that timeline so I would assume that means he's going to reach out to her but who knows

Agreed. They've covered basically everything that needed to be in that timeline

I liked it. The only things that really bothered me were the Gus scene and Mike going to talk to Nacho's dad. Not sure if he was expecting a high five from him?
