    I somehow doubt the dems great plan is to tarnish Trump’s reputation and credibility to get people to vote against him for 2020. I mean it’s pretty obvious now that any scandals or accusations against Trump only makes his supporters support him even more. This impeachment only martyrs Trump

    This will go down in history as a sham. Abuse of power by the Democrats to try to weaken the opposing candidate before an election. Nothing more.. nothing less. Trump will be reelected regardless.

    It is an extremely oversimplified POV though—regardless if there is some truth to it. Yes, there’s money & corruption in politics, everyone knows that. People largely use that an excuse not to engage in the political process & I think that’s what @Alchemist34 is getting at. By not engaging, you’re allowing the very corruption that you’re ranting about to continue to happen. The idea that there’s no point in political participation because it’s all corrupt is just bs. That’s exactly what the elites want the masses to think.

    Nah bro, “Politicians only care about the dollar cos they’re all corrupt & elections are a sham” is something disgruntled citizens who don’t know jack s--- have been saying since Ancient Rome
