Aug 28, 2021 After the humorous "The Real Slim Shady," "The Way I Am," Eminem delivers a deliberately severe protest song, declaring himself the No. 1 threat to the hypocritical middle class. The rapper recalls the Columbine High School massacre and assures us that the cozy philistine world is highly illusory. No one is safe—one of the best compositions not only in Eminem's work but in all of rap's history. A song about the boundless will to live and the desire to create, Eminem won an Oscar. The track set a record for staying at number 1 on the Billboard singles chart. It's a rare case where the guitar riff from a rap song is as recognizable as the main rock themes. I often listen to it to calm down or listen to melodic music to relax.
Aug 28, 2021 This album aged like dog s---. Anyone who rated above a 6 is catching a big L. @Michael Myers @Ricky I see you there
Aug 29, 2021 This was about side A I think. Yeah I stand by the fact that I gave it an 8 at first, loved it. It aged worse than side B for sure. Still around a 7 to me though.
Aug 29, 2021 Fair. I hate judging albums as a whole tho because it dismisses a lot of dope songs (or, overrates ones). I prefer track by track. Also Side B is definitely still a 7.5 for me or 8
Aug 29, 2021 Love side A. Probably his best album since TES for me and his only album since then that is solid from start to finish.
Aug 29, 2021 Side A is a good 7/10 & Side B is a 6/10. I feel like if you took the best from both and made one it would be a 8-8.5/10
Aug 29, 2021 It's a 9 for me, I loved pretty much all of the 36 songs, with mid but also really highs songs. If I'm objective it's 8, people don't talk about it much but the quality is here. Obviously it's not an instant classic, but maybe with time it could be a cult-classic like Relapse.
