Jan 18, 2022 I dont know what Sony is doing or what they should be doing at this point. They are leading the console war by quit a margin, but this isnt good for their future business. They have the 1st party games, but literally everything else will be under the Microsoft umbrella, at least it feels like it.

May 4, 2023 Q4 2024. PS5 with detachable disc drive is coming first later this year though. I haven’t even gotten a regular PS5 yet but am planning on it soon. I don’t feel like waiting for the Pro. If the Pro is that much better I’ll probably get it and give the original PS5 to a friend
May 4, 2023 Yeah I don't see how much better it could possibly be. I'm guessing they just add more storage. Not sure of the point of a detachable disc drive? I just added 2TB storage to my PS5. It only comes with like 800GB out of the box
May 4, 2023 I think I would keep both if the Ps5 pro is real. But in all honesty I'd rather this be fake news To keep the cost down. I'm not sure if even next year the Ps5 will get a price cut, but in order to keep a hypothetical Ps5 pro at the same price they'd have to sell it as digital only with an optional disc drive for an extra added/optional cost.
May 4, 2023 Yeah I don’t like this trend of them releasing a slightly upgraded version of the same console in the middle of the console cycle. Unfortunately that’s probably gonna become the norm. Just release the best s--- you can make out of the gate. I know tech capabilities accelerate fast, but I doubt they’re gonna give the PS5 Pro some sort of major upgrade that wouldn’t have been possible to just put in the original PS5.
