Yeah yeah.. Even though the numbers aren't there anymore to show for it. Em after 2017 is the best 02-03 Em. Recovery era was nothing special when it was happenin'. I hated the whole album at first. Only album that I fell in love immediately after the first listen by Em since TES, was Kamikaze album and MTBMB was even better.Marshall III, Tal, modli and 4 others like this. -

Lmao Recovery is so overrated. Its only well liked because how hyped it was.

People s--- on his career back then, and even Eminem says he was just getting his feet wet, but lest we forget amazing tracks like "Despicable", "Ridaz", "The Warning", were released around that time period.
"Despicable" remains his best pre-album freestyle YET.
His s--- now is imitating those King of the Dot guys. Just listen to his "Caterpillar" verse, he even says it there:
"Spit like it's King of the Dot"
Kamikaze still his best album post-comeback.Marshall III, CARNIFEX, SLAYAR and 3 others like this. -

Def a dated album and maybe not especially good but I’d Be lying if I didn’t f--- w it at the time lol. It had been an eternity since he’d been relevant - over half a decade - and it was fun seeing him dominate the pop landscape again. Relapse has more artistic integrity ofcMarshall III, Guma, Ids5621 and 2 others like this. -

Whilst I do like most of what he’s put out since Recovery, he hasn’t topped Going Through Changes imo. He’s had better verses for sure, but as a whole song i don’t think so.
Recovery seems to be quite underrated by some, probably because of the label of pop-rap it’s been given. There’s some top-tier stuff on there; not consistently throughout the album but it’s definitely there. I think we’ve yet to see a better 5 song stretch than Going Through Changes - Not Afraid - Seduction - No Love - Space Boundpatchinfo, Don Marshall, ETERNAL and 1 other person like this. -

Eminem being able to release Relapse and Recovery in the space of ?12 months was astonishing.
Both great albums in their own right. LTWYL, No Love, Goin’ Thru Changes, Cinderella Man, So Bad...
Relapse, Recovery and Kamikaze all had something really consistent about themshady389, Z Gangsta and deluxe wife like this. -

Recovery was the 2nd phase of his biggest super stardom, him being the biggest artist, him at the heights commercially musically and as a brand. First phase being from 1999 to 2004 with The SSLP, The MMLP,, TES, EncoreMarshall III, Trumpets and Zeugma like this.(This ad goes away when signing up)
