    I guess they're thinking about discharging him today? It's hard to know exactly whats happening cuz there's so much info from different sources that say different things. But things are mostly saying he's recovering from what I can see.



    Trump typically tries to suppress and cause confusion when it comes to voting, not encourage registration lol (at least when it comes to voting as a general concept). He mentions Arizona, Florida, Georgia, Ohio, and Texas, which are all states he's on the cusp of losing. But he doesn't mention Arkansas, Kentucky, Indiana, Louisiana, Mississippi, South Carolina, Tennessee, all of which are red states with a registration deadline of today. He must be real worried.

    if trump dies today, pence is president until next inauguration. if trump wins and then dies after inauguration, pence is president. but if trump dies today no one is really sure who or what technically will/can go on the ballot next month. (and there’s a rule for what happens if the president-elect dies before inauguration but i forget what it is—house vote?)

    Polls for the president this past week have been pretty brutal. The trifecta of his poor debate performance + contracting COVID + being sent to the hospital has him losing ground.

    Before debate:
    Biden +7 nationally
    75% chance of winning electoral college (via FiveThirtyEight)

    Now:
    Biden +8 nationally
    81% chance of winning electoral college (via FiveThirtyEight)

    What’s the over/under of him having to be hospitalized again? Genuinely wonder what his condition is like because the White House/doctors obviously aren’t being completely honest.

    Pandering never stops and yet he somehow was able to fail at it sounding good lol. That's why I don't like this stupid culture that will make any innocent statement like that sound racist (coming from either side), when the guy is clearly thanking for sacrifices of ordinary people. I feel like he shot himself in the foot, cause of mentioning race.

    Yeah, it can be a tough line to toe. Like black women are some of the most ignored people in America and I get that he wants to show that he sees them but it's hard not to come across as pandering in a case like this. I don't know if there's a broader context to the quote but it's not like black women are specifically known for working at grocery stores or anything lol. Every town/neighborhood needs a grocery store so they employ pretty much every demographic in the USA.

    Still at the end of the day I'd rather see joe put his foot in his mouth trying to pander to a certain sect of voters than see Trump refuse to condemn white nationalism lol.

    But he did it multiple times even before his presidency. I get not liking Trump, his policies, his rhethoric, being on different side of political spectrum, etc, but I can't stand lying in any part of my life. By lying people will inevitably just help Trump gain more support and bring more distrust towards the media. As for Proud Boys mentioned in the debate how come diverse group of people whatever their views are is "white nationalists"/"white supremacists".

    I know he has said so before, but it should never be a question in the first place. The fact that there have been multiple instances of him not saying it/hesitating to do so is what's alarming.

    Honestly feel like he doesn't know who Pride Boys are and didn't want to be trolled into condemning something that might not be even the group that spouts these ideas. If Chris Wallace asked him again like in 2016 to condemn the idea he wouldn't hesitate to do so especially when we have multiple examples of him doing exactly that.
