Hey guys,
First off, I am a guy in his early 40s, who normally only listens to old school hip hop from the 90s.
I have a 13 year old son who kept me telling me to listen to Juice and I would just brush him off saying all this modern hip hop is mostly s---.
Anyway, I remember telling him Juice has passed and he actually cried and it reminded me of when I found out 2pac died (I was 17 at the time) and how devasted I was.
A month or 2 ago, I decided to give Juice a listen, working from home means I have more time to listen while I work, and I have been blown away, I actually feel ashamed that I have slept on him for so long.
So far I have only listened to a handful of songs, my favourites being Empty, Robbery, Hide and Righteous. I have also listened to his freestyles (arguably the greatest free styles I have ever heard)
I was hoping this forum could help me find more gems from him in the style of the aforementioned songs.

Depends what parts of his music you're talking about. He's clearly influenced by Keef, Thug, Herbo, Future, etc. You could take it back to Cudi even or as forward as Lil Peep as far as peers go. Mac Miller w/r/t how they processed pain in their music. He was definitely a unique artist.warner, Ordinary Joel and Boos like this.(This ad goes away when signing up) -
