While i believe he is dumb. I think his biggest issue is he seemingly living in a fantasy bubble. I have never seen a president so disconnected from the world. Did u ever see someone so bluntly racist that its not racist anymore? Like he believes so much in his racism thats its not anymore?

i think that police forces as they exist today are in every sense extreme—the money they cost, the power they have, the ludicrous rate of violence—and that dismantling them/atomizing public service and safety into better-trained, less totalitarian departments is just the sensible thing to do. of course it is a tremendously difficult thing to do given how entrenched the police are in our society, but if you were building a country from scratch, the person who proposed modern police would be laughed out of the room. i think that’s instructive to remember! eye on the ball

again, your objections to police abolition are entirely aesthetic or based on the fact that you think everyone to the left of you on every issue is a purple-haired dilettante loser.
