If you’d have told me 15 years ago that this wouldn’t be Eminem’s worst album, I would’ve laughed at youPearly Marshmallow, fezzer, Buddha and 7 others like this. -

Much more impressive than anything else he tried afterwards.
At least he’s becoming more self aware the past two albums -

I feel like when Encore songs leaked Em just wanted this album to tank he was so over his fame that's why he recorded bunch of nonsensical songs.VR46, BlueWorldOrder, Mudkip and 7 others like this. -

Wait correct me if I’m wrong, but I always thought this album was a troll? All the s--- songs are dead in the middle right after one another. Didn’t it leak or something? I would rather listen to 50 year old eminem on his last album than this. 0 songs on his last s--- are as bad as a--- like that or f---ing big weenie Lmao. Spend some time tho >>>>>>>>>>>>Tyler the Creator, JEB, Ricky and 4 others like this.(This ad goes away when signing up) -

It was a decline, but it was a decline from a reallllly high peak. He sure as s--- fell but he still wasn't that far down. Still knew how to sound good rhythmically, had control of his tone, just had a better grasp on making good sounding stuff.
His new stuff, a h--- of an improvement from whatever the f--- happen 2011-17, is good, but not an earworm like his earlier s--- was. Like f---in Big Weenie is garbage but it lowkey doesn't sound bad. Whereas Not Alike or whatever is a return to form but.. not that fun to come back to.Ids5621, froboy6942, Detroit24 and 3 others like this. -

Agree with everyone who said Encore / Relapse are so much better than anything in the 2010s and beyond. I've said this before but despite their flaws they at least feel like you're listening to an album by Marshall Mathers.RetiredAccount, JXY, Marshall III and 3 others like this. -

So the last couple days at work I’ve listened to Eminem’s entire solo discography and after listening to Encore Deluxe from front to back with no skips I must say this; it’s aged well and better now than before. I remember when this album dropped. I was a freshman in high school and was super excited and super let down upon its release. There were a lot of good songs and a lot of bad. I had high expectations because TES was d--- near a masterpiece and still today is his best album to me and one of the best in rap or music period. So it was a huge let down in quality to me at the time and over the years. But what I did was start from MTBMB worked my way back and let me tell you. What a difference. Encores highs are higher than anything after it to date. Mockingbird is Ems best song since 2004 period. It’s a classic song. And a lot of songs have aged well. From Curtains Up to Mosh is solid, Puke is still a fun listen to me. A couple s--- songs until Just Lose It, except Rain Man is still one of my biggest guilty pleasures as a Em song. Mockingbird, Spend Some Time is a classic Em song, hook and verse. And it’s a pretty solid listen til the end. And of course the bonus Disc is prime Em to the fullest. This album has far more highs and higher highs than any album after it. Period. In my opinion. Of course.Last edited: Jun 17, 2020fezzer, Mothrfckr, THE LAST DANCE and 3 others like this.(This ad goes away when signing up) -

Listening to encore right now. Solid album, and the goofy tracks are funny.
After being so used to overtechnical eminem we have these days, encore makes an easy, relaxed listen.Last edited: Jun 19, 2020Pearly Marshmallow, Adonisfxx, lil uzi vert stan and 2 others like this. -
