Given the entire album a few listens. Pretty much as I expected. The Lose Yourself demo is a great easter egg. Sadly its presence only harms the rest of the disc in comparison cause 03 Em s----s on the present day one.

2014 Em continues his trend of choking out tracks with as many bars as possible. It was d--- near impenetrable to start with, but you get used to it. Fine Line is pretty great, and he's alright on the others. The funny nod to his old voice and delivery on the opening track doesn't last long enough for me.

Of the label members, Yelawolf fares the best here. He pops up a few times in different positions and kills it. He's not for everyone, but he's settling comfortably into a unique sound and is the only artist on here who really owns his role every time. Hopefully this project will give him the push he needs to release "Love Story".

Slaughterhouse barely registers on the project, which is a waste of 4 pretty talented dudes. D12? What a joke. I actually enjoy the song fine but it's so clearly thrown in through obligation, and it sucks that Em didn't even bother to appear, especially when he's on nearly every track.

The production is really solid throughout, probably the best produced Shady album since Relapse. You can tell the difference between the songs Eminem worked on in-house, and the odd few just thrown in from other projects, which makes it less cohesive. I would have liked more label member collaborations on there too. It's not bad though, and there's nothing I dislike on there.

I'm not sure if its a term but I think Twisted is definitely "ghost-produced" by Alex da Kid, sounds so much like his type of record I can't believe Em produced that one. IMHO I can't listen through the solo Em songs except GOTF they just seemed so choppy and not well produced they do not sound like Em's typical production style that I am so used to.

As time has passed I think I like Right for Me more than Fine Line now.

One has aged well the other has not.

As much as I want to enjoy to Right For Me, I can't, his flow completely ruins it and it's hard to follow along.

yeah the flows are pretty contrasting, I feel both stories have pretty fair replay value though. should provide for a lot of debate once le new site trolling dies down

people will be talking about xv at least as long as they've been talking about the re up hopefully

I like his PK verse because he seems actually angry, unlike the usual verses he gives where he has to fake being pissed off

tbh, I wouldn't mind a full track of him trying to sound like his SSLP self like on the title track. that flow was better than most of the track :'(

even after hts and mmlp2 a lot of people were saying no apologies was slim's last real appearance

the cypher and xv seem to have somewhat quieted that, which is great

I liked The Re-Up too. Everything Eminem did on it was great. His other artists, not so much. Pretty much exactly how I feel about Shady XV too lol.

lol Obie Trice had the second best song on the re-up right behind No Apologies. Eminem was pretty good on it, but other artists shined (50 Cent, Obie Trice).
On Shady XV, Yelawolf has better verses then any of Eminem's (Down, Twisted [and Till It's Gone if you count the bonus addition]).

I was referring more to Stat Quo, Cashis, and Bobby Creekwater on The Re-Up. And Yelawolf outperformed Eminem on Shady XV? Lol absolutely not! He had a good hook on Psychopath Killer and a good verse on Twisted and thats it. Down isn't even listenable. Everything Eminem did on Shady XV was great.

lol Down was great, and Yela's Twisted verse was the best on the album, and I can't even stand most of Yela's music. Quit being salty cuz Eminem sucks now.
