    no, more just watching THR interviews and stuff. but i get your point. my initial reaction and gripes had to do mainly with the narrative. but now that ive made my peace with that, i feel like i can appreciate it more on a 2nd viewing. if that makes sense

    not mention i just kinda want to watch it again -- which doesnt happen with most films for me

    disagree i def dont want to endure that grueling experience again. 3 hrs and its still pretty trite imo. "war is h---" "we mistreated this lands native ppl" "fathers want to avenge their androgynus half breed offspring"

    i was the same way with babel and 21 grams. nasty, no thanks. one and done.

    The Revenant is amazing..lol

    seen it 3 times.. once by myself, once with my gf, and once with my mom (who loves Leo)

    Just a great performance; and great direction

    revenge is bad cuz God or sumthin' guys & trees don't give up so neither will leo cuz nature... is like... inherently violent but also not cuz it's so beautiful but ALSO UGLY ya idk here's some more trees lol.

    Knight of Cups 2015
    ★★★★½ Watched 12 Jan, 2016

    [REVIEW] 85/100 - Knight of Cups (Malick, 2015/2016)

    Easily Malick’s most impenetrable film, as well as perhaps his most visually breathtaking. The subject matter is rather scattered, with little of a sense of grounding in the lead character’s life. Instead it uses poetic devices and artful cinematography to engage the viewer with a fleeting glimpse into a life. It borders between genius and superficial, creating most often a mass ornament of female bodies and the ‘high-life’.

    All in all, the film’s poetic nature makes it more akin to a musical symphony than to cinema proper, and as such, I presume that it requires viewing multiple times for one to become in tune with the formal changes, motifs, and rhythms.
