Good choices but I don't know if I can trust Kanye after he raved Pacific Rim on twitter.

Asghar Farhadi's About Elly is d--- good, perhaps on par with A Separation. It too is a thorny, yet sensitive tale of human weakness that plays like a suspense thriller

Yep, it was only for 10 days, but I'm back now. It was just as cool as Brendan Gleeson would lead you to believe.

Kanye West is in the motherland (my motherland, Armenia)!

I also saw Ryan Gosling yesterday -- a brief glimpse as we walked by near us, but I was in his presence, nonetheless.

Cannes lineup is out tomorrow! Coen brothers are the heads of the jury this year.

On another note, my cousin wrote/directed a short horror film and put it up on youtube. I was on set for a little bit and am listed in the credits. If you guys are bored and have 16 minutes to k---, any views would be appreciated (Please be nice :emoji_wink:)

I want Louder Than Bombs now. :emoji_slight_frown:
I don't even know half of these directors but the ones I know has me really stoked.

Weerasethakul's latest was on the Playlist's list originally but that was a mistake, so it's a little less stacked than before. Still, with only 17 competition titles, there's likely to be more movies added.

Though there are only 2 American films, there are 8 English language films overall...hmm...

The Weerasethakul joint missing from the line-up was my only disappointment, everything else seems solid af, can't wait.

I'm looking foward Deephan & Youth

I havent seen many films lately, d--- you real life interruptions! these are some of the ones i've checked out

    Dazed & Confused 9/10
Gone Baby Gone 7/10 The Ending ruined a solid film, good debut by affleck
The Big Sleep 7.5/10 a bit dissapointed by this, dialogues were great but other than that i wasn't so impressed, the Book is better
Away From Her 9/10 One of my favorites from the 2000's
