Do you guys know if there's anyway to organize movies in a External hard disk to watch them on Tv? i want to order movies by Genre and director, without copying the file twice on their respective folders. It would make my life easier, there are some apps but they doesn't work when i plug the Hard Disk on the Tv

You could always just include the genre after the title such as "Matrix (1999) (Sci-Fi)" and use the search function to pull up genres.
Alternatively catalog them in Excel or Letterboxd and sort with a third party.

If your PC/Laptop is close to your TV, you can just get an HDMI cord and connect the two. Something like Plex would then allow you to categorize everything.

    This is what I have.
    http://letterboxd.com/irbis/list/2015-ranked/

I have so many movies to catch up to. I also watched Clouds of Sils Maria, Timbuktu, '71, A Pigeon Sat on a Branch Reflecting on Existence and The Tribe but consider them as 2014 movies.

This month I can see Lost River, The Duke of Burgundy, When Marnie Was There, Saint Laurent and maybe Far From the Madding Crowd and Eden.

I'm so behind with films, i'm barely watching one or two per week.

This week i saw Luchino Visconti's Rocco & His Brothers, nothing compared with the Materpice he made 3 years later (Il Gattopardo), i find the film good but hard to get involved in, for some reason i didn't find this believable. Despite it tried hard, this lacked true emotion, and this is not a good comment for a film in the genre of Italian Neo-Realism. 7/10

I also saw Borat, very akward at times but very entertaining, loved Sacha Baron's performance 7/10

So I've got a topic for discussion that addresses two issues: comedies being seen as unimportant & the state of comedy today.
What comedy from 2000 or later would you put in a top 250 movies of all time list?
IMDB's most recent comedy in the top 250 is The Big Lebowksi (1999) at ~#130.
Some candidates I have would be Superbad, Borat & O Brother Where Art Thou.

Difficult question, I don't have a 250 top movies list, and can't really process what that would entail. I do think comedies are great cultural barometers, especially the overtly satirical ones. I personally think, in terms of trends, history is going to break down mainstream 2000s comedies in a few ways:
    -Apatow universe
    -Frat pack
-Will Ferrell/Adam McKay trilogy of Anchorman, Talledega Nights, Step Brothers

Besides comedies often being crude laugh factories, I think the largest "image" problem they suffer from is they're usually such products of their time that it's easy for them to become dated VERY fast. Also, poor production value.

Of your top 10 films, how many are comedies? Those 3 categories will definitely define the time, but which movies would you say stand out to you?
O Brother Where Art Thou feels like a timeless comedy. I don't think it will wear with age.
Superbad might, but I think it goes so far past surface level and helps that it doesn't rely on the current time period.
Borat is one of the best mockumentaries ever, a subgenre that has proved itself already. It also has political undertones.

As far as Straight Comedies go my vote would be Zombieland, i'd put that in my undefined Top 100, somewhere around the 60th - 75th spot, same goes to Relatos Salvajes (Wild Tales). Budapest Hotel, Hot Fuzz, Superbad, Shaun of the dead, In The Loop, Burn After Reading and This Is The End are great as well, but i don't know if the last 2 would be in my Top 250.

There are a few films that while are not straight comedies, they tackle the genre very well: Punch-Drunk Love (Top 20), Volver, Midnight in Paris, Wolf of Wallstreet (all these Possibly Top 100) and many more. I'd even categorize Inglourious Basterds as comedy.

Judging by 2014, Comedy is improving but not as we know it, last year we had a good year for black comedies with films such as The Double, Relatos Salvajes and Birdman, these 3 were on several years end lists, so hopefully we are leaving that Adam Sandler era behind.

P.S: Animated movies count as well (Toy Story 3 ftw!). I also think O Brother Where Art Thou is overrated

By who? I can't recall ever seeing it on any lists. It's at least as good as Burn After Reading.
