    It's a movie that I always find myself coming back to. It's up there now with There Will Be Blood for me.

    Any quick thoughts on Crimson Peak? Looking to go early next week.

    Crimson Peak was pretty nice. It started off a bit slow but it picked up in the second act and by the third act it was just fantastic as Jessica takes control of the film and just kills it. Del Toro builds a suiting atmosphere and the film is both visually and sonically on point. Overall it feels a bit uneven but the highs overpower the lows and I really dug a lot of the ideas he was exploring and the fact that he stayed so true to his vision.

    But yeah, Queen Chastain absolutely murders it.

    I did do a double-take on Pacific Rim, which is probably my least favorite Del Toro. Everything else is pretty dope.

    Well never watch it again. Theater experience was great. The weakness was in the characters, plot, etc. None of that mattered to me.
