    that's all u have to say? but but it had good performances and it was well directed. which automacally makes a good film obviously right?

    We don't have the luxury of 50+ years of the film existing yet, and a movie like Spring Breakers would never be mentioned alongside The Searchers regardless. We're just giving our personal experiences with the film and ranking accordingly. I don't think many of us here are concerned with what is/isn't important in a historical context.

    So your rankings are like meaningless then. It's all glorified "i like these films alot heh" 100% subjective. That's fine, but it's unserious -- you need some context imo

    Yeah the standout perforamcnes from Keaton, Norton, and Stone, and the engaging direction and score are defintiely part of the reason I think its a good film.

    pretty sure already asked what you dislike about it (w/o being a d-ck btw). feel free to respond, not gonna help stroke ur e-peen tho

    See I actually think Spring Breakers is a really important film in historical context. It's going to be a film that will be a landmark of cinema over the next few decades.

    Not really.

    You can't judge The Godfather the same way you do Spring Breakers, just like you wouldn't judge Halloween the same way you do The Tree of Life. There's still a level of objectivity do it, just on different wavelengths for different creative spaces.
