May 7, 2016 my top 5 once i see this 1. civil war 2. winter soldier 3. dark world 4. iron man 2 5. thor
May 7, 2016 Bro it's cool you are going outside the box, but how you gonna say Dark World or Iron Man 2 is better than the OG Iron Man or Guardians of the Galaxy...or the OG Avengers??? Saw "Civil War" last night, an all time classic, lived up to my super high expectations...the final showdown between Cap, Bucky, & Iron Man was beyond words
May 7, 2016 LMAOOOO I'm not looking for some 4 page essay on why you enjoyed them more, but maybe some bullet points of what you thought was better about Iron Man 2 than the OG Iron Man? Just curious...that's like if someone told me they liked Crystal Skull better than Raiders of the Lost Ark...not for me to say how someone else should feel, but requires a little explanation
May 7, 2016 Yes it was. And even though I like the new Spider-Man character, the Tobey McGuire era suit looked better.
May 7, 2016 Thor 1 and 2? I'm assuming he's your favorite character or something? Have you seen Civil War yet?
May 7, 2016 Fam, i don't keep bullet points on why i didn't enjoy the iron man as much as I did the sequel lol. probably shouldn't tell you then... not really lol
May 7, 2016 yeah, i like them a lot, always did. no, not even close. never has been. the post you quoted said "once i see this" obv. not

May 7, 2016 SPOILERS- This movie was really good. But I'm also pissed. Maybe disappointed is the better word. But if you going to call your movie Captain America Civil War, you better k--- Cap at the end. Spidey was dope. Liked Ant Man's new suit. Some of the shots in this movie were just jaw droppingly beautiful. The action is some of the best I've seen in a super hero film in a while. Film is grounded and keeps a rather serious tone the whole way, yet characters never lose their personality. Tony still wise cracks. Spider Man is a jokester. The movie never forgets to have fun. Yet the final 30 minutes of this movie are actually quite tragic. I will say the ending felt rushed. Having Cap just walk out of the shadows towards Falcon and the rest of the prisoners/avengers then credits just felt abrubt to me. The last 5 or so minutes of the film seemed to split off from the rest in tone. Like it was a little to up beat based on what had just happened. Overall I'd say 8/10. I need more time to digest it but these are my thoughts after a day.
May 7, 2016 Judging by everyone's list, including my own, Age Of Ultron might be the most disappointing Marvel movie. Avengers 1 was the beginning, assembling the team. Then you have the divide in Civil War, and the coming grand finale in Infinity War. Age Of Ultron was just a movie about them "being the Avengers" basically. I think that's why it fell a little flat. I also didn't like how it felt more cartoony and less serious compared to the Winter Soldier. The switch from the Russo Brothers back to Joss Whedon was very obvious.
May 7, 2016 I agree with some of your points about the ending. The final fight with Cap and Iron Man was just so epic. Then the final five minutes or so was kind of a letdown. I'm glad they didn't k--- off Cap though since he's my favorite character. As far as I know Chris Evans has a six movie contract (3 Caps, 3 Avengers) but he recently said he'll continue playing the character "as long as they want him to"
May 7, 2016 I thought this was fun for the most part and an interesting contrast to Batman vs. Superman. Like that hero vs. hero movie, the movie uses collateral damage and the deaths of civilians as its jumping off point, posing tough questions only to abandon them in favor of the expected franchise building and CGI action. However, where Zach Snyder, for his of all his flaws as a filmmaker, at least brings a distinct visual aesthetic and crafts memorable comic imagery, the Russo brothers adhere closely to the Marvel aesthetic of overwhelming blandness (here's hoping Ryan Coogler can bring a little more personality to Black Panther). What the Russos do bring is an economical efficiency in pacing, action and narrative, which is primarily why, in the end, Civil War is the superior film to the messy mishmash of B vs. S and why the Russos are sort of perfect for the Marvel formula. Whereas Snyder and crew struggled to coherently balance a small handful of iconic characters with the needs of foundation building, the Russos are able to cleanly handle a multitude of characters and strands, while simultaneously giving each hero their respective due. Some of the novelty of seeing all of these heroes together has certainly worn off since the first Avengers, but the airport sequence comes closest to capturing the childlike joy of the comics come to life. Though it's not the most viscerally exciting action setpiece, it incorporates all of the unique abilities and personalities of its characters in crowd-pleasing fashion. The other pleasures for these films usually come from the cast and that's still the case here, as the key players continue to maintain a buoyant chemistry in Marvel's generally welcome light-hearted tone, especially in comparison to DC's dour proceedings. Overall, it's an entertaining, audience-satisfying blockbuster that takes almost no risks (There's one narrative misdirection for which you could sense the writers patting themselves on the back)...a fun soap opera for young dudes. However, with twice as many superhero movies to come in the next few years, even a strong entry like this suggests that the genre might be in need of some reinvention.
May 8, 2016 Going to see this again today. Taking my kids this time. Every theater in my area is sold out by the way. Bet this movie is gonna do HUGE numbers.
May 8, 2016 This. I like whedon. Buffy is his masterpiece in my opinion. Avengers was dope and I enjoyed Ultron but I also felt in some ways it fell flat. My main gripe as with all Marvel movies is that they almost NEVER k--- of character. and if someone dies they come back. Colsoun alive, Nick Fury alive, Iron Man alive, Bucky alive, war machine alive, Peggy dead but not really cause she got a show on ABC. There aren't any stakes for me. The ones where I actually felt tension were the Captain America films. None of the other films have ever made me feel like one of these characters bout to die. And I agree. The switch in tone from TWS to AOU was jarring. Trailers made it seem dark AF and I was hyped. Thought it would be like The Empire Strike Back and s---. But nah just avengers avenging and s---. Which was solid. But not what I wanted. Yeah I think it was to early to k--- Cap to but then maybe it was to early for Civil War but the movie was still super dope so f--- it right? And yeah those last few minutes man. Like what? So rushed, off tone, and abrubt in its ending to what was otherwise a great piece of cinema.
May 9, 2016 bucky just wanted some f---ing plums civil war owns my a--- though, not sure if its above tws yet yall talking about they should've killed steve
