Unpopular opinion: Gronk is arguably the greatest TE of all time. Even if he retires, I think there’s an argument for him to be the GOAT.

Lol no. He had the potential, but people won’t be talking about him 5-10 years from now. He didn’t really do much in the playoffs and went on a huge decline this year.

    Yeah IDK about GOAT.

I might have him in the top 5... But GOAT? IDK.

I'd put Tony Gonsalves, Shannon Sharpe, Antonio Gates over him.

i wouldn't even say its an unpopular opinion

even with the issues he's had staying healthy, he's easily in the convo for best TE ever.

Gronk will be talked about 5-10-15 years from now because you have an argument that he’s the most dominant player to ever play his position

For that reason and his stats and post season success for the greater part of a decade he should be considered a top 5 TE

That being said he does not deserve to be put over Tony, or Gates unless he plays for a lot longer

Different sports but I view Gronk the same way I do Pedro Martinez. Gronk is the most dominant TE I’ve ever seen the way Pedro was the most dominant Starting pitcher I’ve ever witnessed. Both get docked due to lack of longevity and injuries in the end. But in their primes I put them up against anyone.

Lucky to have seen both play in person.

Gotta throw Shannon Sharpe in that mix too, but yeah I agree.

In his prime, Gronk might've been the biggest matchup nightmare in NFL history, but longevity and durability are huge factors to me.

Yikes!!! The most injury prone tight end I’ve ever seen. You can’t call someone the most dominant TE you have ever seen when they averaged like 6 games a regular season. His decline was huge the last few years. He was only great for a couple.
The numbers prove it. Shannon, gates, Hernandez, Tony would throw Gronk around like a rag in their prime.

Yeah yeah. Ik what you’re doing Timmy. You’re rubbing it in. He has been requesting a trade basically for the last month.

As I’ve said before, I’d rather see Ben and Tomlin go and keep Brown and Bell. I can’t wait to see how bad Ben declines without Brown making amazing catches while double, trippled coverage. Tomlin ruined this franchise. Sad the Rooney’s won’t fire him just because he’s black. And letting Ben get his way. It’d be one thing if Ben was a top 5 QB. But he isn’t and I think led the nfl in picks. Tomlin is just a cheerleader for the team as James Harrison has said.

steelers gonna have an interesting off-season. two of their star players could be leaving. antonio brown is a 30 year old WR who has become a bit of a drama queen. it'll be interesting to see what his value is if and when the steelers shop him.

i don't know why you think ben is gonna suffer a lot without brown. big ben has been a great player well before brown came along lol.

as i said before, i think coaching (in most cases) is hard to judge--so if you don't like tomlin--i don't have much problem with that. you have the right to your own opinion, but you and I definitely see things a lot differently

An interesting offseason indeed. And honestly, you and I both know the true reason why you like Tomlin. I think you shouldn’t be so narrow minded and actually look at coaching problems instead of race. Tomlin didn’t have the team prepared for games they should have won. Tomlin had the best AFC team this year and couldn’t pull his team completely together. A major coaching problem in Pittsburgh and 99% of Steeler fans and Pittsburgh radio stations agree with this. We’re all in shock Tomlin didn’t get fired. But we all know the true reason why, which is sad.

And Ben is older now and has always had weapons to throw to. How is he going to improve with Brown gone Timmy? Shuster is great, but he’s no Brown. Ben throwing the most picks. Rudolph could have started next year keeping brown and bell and he wouldn’t have done any worse than Ben. Come on Timmy, you’re not trolling me.
