NFL Hall of Famer Brian Urlacher has made scores of Chicago Bears' fans upset with his latest take on the NBA players' strike in response to the shooting of Jacob Blake in Kenosha, WI. Urlacher shared on his Instagram Story on Thursday,

"Brett Favre played the MNF game the day his dad died, threw 4 TDs in the first half, and was a legend for playing in the face of adversity. NBA players boycott the playoffs because a dude reaching for a knife, wanted on a felony sexual assault warrant, was shot by police."

The second post that caused outrage featured a call to free Kyle Rittenhouse, the 17-year-old shooter that killed two men and wounded another in Kenosha during the protest, was liked by Urlacher.

The Chicago Bears distanced themselves from Brian Urlacher after his posts went viral. "The social media posts in no way reflect the values or opinions of the Chicago Bears organization,” the team said in a statement issued on Thursday night," the Bears said in a statement.

i was thinking the cowboys too because he's from texas and they've talked about him signing there before, but who knows...

    on another note..

obviously i don't know what's going to happen, but i'm happy for the bills fans because i think they'll win the division. buffalo has one of the best fan-bases in the NFL. they've been showing up for the last 2 decades and that's how long the bills have been bad. and what makes it even more impressive is that they show up in awful weather

i like sam darnold, but he doesn't have a good enough team around him. i like miami's head coach and think he'll eventually turn them around, but not this soon. and the patriots don't have good enough offensive personnel. i like cam, but he's in a new system, he's been banged up too much in recent years, and i can't think of any weapons the pats have that you really gotta worry about.

our starting defensive end Hunter has missed several practices in a row, so hopefully this isn't a sign that he's not doing good :emoji_slight_frown: but even if you take hunter out of the picture, i really like this move.

yannick is only 25 years old. he's a pass rusher, so his position is one of the more important positions in football. i'm surprised we didn't have to give up more to acquire him. he said he would never play for the jags again, so maybe that has something to do with why the jags didn't get more, i don't know. but to me what we gave up go get him isn't a lot considering his age and position. on top of that, he'll have help. we have multiple other playmakers on defense.

this trade also jogged my memory about clowney. i think we are less than 2 weeks from start of season and clowney still doesn't have a team i wonder where he'll play

Anyways Vikings fans got an absolute steal. Yan has been my favorite player for a while and I’m not thrilled with the return but am glad it’s over. Unfortunately this is what his market was because any team that traded him would also have to give him a massive long term deal, compounded by him hurting his own value via his social media.

He is truly a special pass rusher who does much more than just the sacks that show up on the stat sheet, he is constantly getting to the QB and causing mayhem and making big plays like forced fumbles and fumble recoveries. Truly one of the best pass rushers I’ve ever seen and I’m devastated things turned out the way they did. Gotta burn it with my Ramsey jersey now.

Enjoy his play but don’t follow him on social media unless you want to see that he has the emotional development of a 14 year old girl.

sounds like we agree that what the Vikings gave up to get yannick wasn't all that bad. also sounds like he's even better than i was aware of. i've only seen him play a few times, so you would know a lot better than me about what he can do.

the vikings off-season wasn't all that great--lost diggs, lost griffin, lost joseph, lost secondary guys--we we're counting on several young, unproven type of guys...so this helps add one more proven, consistent guy to our team :)
