I don't know if Romo is a HOFer or not but slightly leaning towards no..interesting discussion though, got good arguments both ways imo.

Matt Moore would've been fine over giving Cutler 10 mil, neither are winning them a super bowl. Not to mention the s--- storm it just kicked up about Kap not getting signed. People are morons thinking the Dolphins would've taken him after his Castro comments in a Cuban community, and with Kiko on the team

i agree totally that he's going to make the cowboys ring of honor. i also agree that thinking he gets into the HOF isn't far-fetched. but i just don't see him making it, and i don't think you think he'll make it either.

yeah, giving him 10 million is a bit much, i agree. but when your starting QB goes down, you gotta make a move, and that sometimes means dishing out more dough than you would like to.

to me, this situation is similar to what happened to the vikings last season with bridgewater. they lost him to a bad injury and had to try to find a replacement with little time to spare, so they made a big move.

Yeah Matt Moore would've been fine. I wonder if Cutler does bad enough they'll put Moore in.......

While he was playing, no. Since he's retired and people have looked back on his career, most of the commentary has been positive (to my surprise). It's like people have finally come to the realization that for most of his career, he didn't have a very good supporting cast. Jerry Jones has said multiple times that his biggest mistake was not giving Romo enough support to win a SB. Combine that with the fact that throughout his career he was always a stand up & humble guy who loved the game. He gave up his body to help his team win: broken ribs, punctured lung, broken back etc. and still coming back in games to lead game winning drives. That's what Romo will be and should be remembered for. Archie Manning was put into the HoF because he was a star player (for his time) despite never posting a winning record in his career (the best record he had in a season was 7-9). Romo's really no different, making sub par cowboy teams much more competitive than they should be. I don't plan on him getting in any time soon but eventually, I can see it happening.

matt moore is trash lol, people downgrade cutler too much sometimes. Eli manning leads the nfl in turnovers like every 3 years but a lot of people still love him

Cutler & Eli aren't all that d--- different tbh. Eli def better. Eli's more consistent which is weird to say because Eli really isn't very consistent in general lol. Cutler is one of those QB's where you really don't know what you're going to get from him on a season by season basis. He can come in and perform really well or just really struggle. Tannehill has consistently been a top 15 QB in his career so I think Miami losing him is a pretty big loss. They have the talent to sneak into a wild card spot with Tannehill.

Moore was decent last year when Tannehill went down. I agree that Cutler is better, but not worth 10 mil. Cutlers not taking them anywhere

    This is interesting:

His grades don't fluctuate as much as I thought they would. Cutler fluctuates from average to good but defintley tends to be more on the average side.

This is Tannehill's grades since coming into the league:

Defintley more consistent and above average throughout his career.

Tannehill is so inconsistent in my eyes. He completes a lot of short passes but when he has to go to the deep ball he ALWAYS under or over throws the receiver.

I've always just saw him as a good QB. Nothing more, nothing less. He struggles a lot under pressure. I remember reading he has like a bottom 5 passer rating under pressure or something like that. Weird you say that about deep balls. He was top 10 in completion percentage on deep balls last year according to PFF (deep balls are defined by them as passes that travel 20 yards or more in the air).

Tannehill has never really impressed me, he's kinda like Alex Smith to me. Like yeah he can get the job done but you probably won't ever make a super bowl with him

That's very surprising to me. There was two instances I remember where he overthrew an open receiver and I wanted to throw my TV out the window

That's probably an accurate comparison. Smith is an average passer but he does a lot of stuff with his legs and I think he's underrated in that aspect. I think Tannehill has a more gifted arm than Smith that pushes Tanehill ahead of him. Give Tannehill at least a decent running game & i think Dolphins could turn some heads. It's always difficult when you have the Pats in your division though.

It could just be an anomaly. He could struggle on deep balls throughout his career but last year he just managed to be pretty good at throwing them. Could be a sign of progression? Who knows.
