I gotta say I feel there's almost zero point to people bringing up the saints/vikes week 1 game in reference to how this game will go...Sure the Vikings won and I'd love to use that in my defense, but both teams were very different then. The Vikings offensive stars that day were Bradford and Dalvin Cook, both who won't play and are out with knee injuries.

The Saints had AP at the time, who's obviously long gone now and Kamara had yet to break out, their rookie defensive backs(Lattimore and Williams) weren't really the players they are now either. The saints defense also wasn't as good then, and quite frankly the Vikings defense wasn't quite at their peak then either..

So yeah it's really 2 totally different teams than faced off in week 1, people would be better off comparing more recent games than looking at that match up back then imo.

Vikings haven't allowed over 19 pts to any team at home this season, and the last 3 teams combined for only 24 total..It was however, the Saints who did put up the 19 in week 1. Vikings have the top ranked overall defense, best 3rd down defense EVER(since it's been tracked in 91 at least), 2nd in run D, 2nd in pass D..

You guys think the Saints get 20+ this weekend? I'm gonna say no, although it wouldn't shock me especially if the Vikings offense turns it over once or twice.

Man Sunday can't come soon enough, I'm excited but also nervous..don't want another early Vikings playoff exit, but I'm accepting the reality that it's certainly possible.

Minnesota had a 99% win percentage with 12:57 left in the game against New Orleans, when the Vikings were up 26-9.

The Vikings defense, at home, has only allowed 3 TD's all year when the game was still in doubt. One after a turnover against Detroit, and one after a turnover against Green Bay. The only full length drive allowed was by the Rams. This defense + the loud stadium = success. And the stadium is going to be even louder this week.

The Saints haven't been playing all that well lately. I said it earlier, but they were 3-3 in their final six. They haven't won on the road sine November 11th. Drew Brees is like 1-4 on the road in the playoffs.

I'm nervous only because the Vikings choke like no other team. But the only teams I truly fear are the Steelers and Jacksonville (100% because they have a defense that's as good as the one in Minnesota)

Wow, amazing info right there, didn’t know that. This D could be seen as one of the best in the last 20 years if they go on to win it all.

Even that one TD against the rams, I remember it well and yes the rams did drive down the field at will, but the Vikes learned from it, made adjustments and completely shut down the rams the rest of the way. Those 7 points were all they got.

Wait you’re telling me you wouldn’t be worried about a match up with the Patriots if it got to that point?

Every team scares me, especially if we get that far. I would rather play the Patriots than the Jags as odd as that sounds. The Patriots are the best coached team of the three, which means it's going to be close no matter what happens. That said, Tom Brady has slowed down over the last month of the season, and he's not as mobile in the pocket as Roethlisberger. They don't have a shut down defense by any stretch, either. When I suggested they trade their picks in the next draft to some Patriots fans I know, they were telling me that they wouldn't because they don't have the talent level on the roster they have in the past (f--- this sentence, I can't fix it). Coaching + Brady has covered up deficiencies.

The WRs on that roster also struggle to get open, especially against physical defenses. My main concern would be Gronkowski.

In a perfect world, we face the Titans.

London sometimes get s--- games, but all 3 of these should be fairly interesting..of course can't say for sure what these teams will look like next year with roster moves/injuries, but as of now at least, pretty good match ups.

Raiders, Jags and Chargers all lose a home game though of course.

If anyone was wondering how QBs fared in their first Playoff game, here's a list of some of the QBs. If you look at an entire list of QB's that have started games over the last 15 years, it seems those considered poor QBs are actually more likely to win because they get there with better defense and running game.

Started 1-0: Osweiler, Tebow, Yates, Schaub, Smith, Cutler, Sanchez, Flacco
Started 0-1: Newton, Luck, Stafford, Dalton, Rodgers, Ryan, Romo, Rivers, Brees

Hours away from the divisional round, d--- what a 28 or so hours it's gonna be with 4 games. I got Atlanta and the Patriots winning today, I'd love the Titans to somehow win but lol @ that.

I saw the weather in Philly isn't too bad right now, probably would have worked to their advantage if it was cold and/or snowy. Eagles probably gotta keep it pretty low scoring, which they definitely could with that defense.

I respectfully disagree. The Vikings put everything into stopping the Rams screen game and play action bootleg. The edge rusher stayed his ground most of the game and picked up the trailing receiver. I believe the Rams only ran 4 trap plays all game. Yet everytime they did, all 4 times they got decent chunk of yardage. McVay called a stubborn game and was schooled fundamentally by a veteran HC. McVay failed to adjust and run more trap runs.

It's gonna be just below freezing at kickoff. It has literally been in the teens for two weeks and then it was 60 yesterday lmao
