Jurassic World is an upcoming American science fiction adventure film. It is the fourth installment in the Jurassic Park film series. The film was in "development h---" for over a decade since the release of Jurassic Park III in 2001. The film was initially scheduled to be released on June 13, 2014, but production was temporarily halted due to a disagreement between writers and Universal Studios regarding the film's script and direction. The film is scheduled to be released on June 12, 2015. Colin Trevorrow is directing a screenplay he co-wrote with Derek Connolly, with Patrick Crowley and Frank Marshall producing. Steven Spielberg, director of the first two films in the series, will act as executive producer as he did for the third film. The first trailer for the film will be released on November 27th, 2014 at 9 PM eastern time.

yea im excited about them rebooting the franchise. i like how they're taking a lot of cues from the 1st movie, but i hope it's original on it's own.

Not going in with very high expectations tbh. Im expecting more of a straight action/thriller with less of the classical sci-fi from the first film. Not like that would be terrible, but the original is just too d---ed good for it to have devolved into a mindless action franchise.

from everything that's been shown they brought back the asian doctor from the 1st film. he's the one breading dinosaurs on the new island...basically taking a cue from where he left off in the 1st one. from what's being said it sounds like some of the storyline is going to be similar to the 1st one so we might get some of the sci-fi from the 1st one.

The first half of the trailer looked spectacular albeit like a David Attenborough documentary.

Towards the end it reminded me a lot of Godzilla: loud abstract noises; dark scenery; flash b--- lighting.

Agreed ha, I mean it is Legendary so this might be a reach but that noise sounds quite similar to the current Godzilla roar.

i noticed a lot of people mentioning this. they seem to think that because legendary is partly behind this movie that the new super dinosaur is going to look like godzilla or have some godzilla ties.

the only thing that worries me about this is it seems like they're just redoing the story from the orginal. i mean it's supopsed to be a reboot...not really a remake.
