That's their opinion, I highly doubt that if GS is celebrating a title, they would just hand the MVP to Lebron. Curry has been playing great and has hit some clutch shots recently. If GS wins, Curry will get the MVP.

Wtf lol Lance Stephenson is terrible did u guys see any Hornets games this year he had 8 ppg on 36 percent shooting. He was just stealing shots from Kemba/Mo and turning the ball over, another weird move for the Clippers IMO Barnes got a lot of minutes down the stretch and is a better defensive player than you think. Stephenson's contract is up after this year tho

But I think Lance is at least equal to Barnes on the defensive end. He was awful last year and even got benched, but he proved he could contribute on a good team in Indy. They tried to make him a spot up shooter next to Kemba, when really he is best with the ball in his hands, creating for himself and others. He could thrive in Jamaal Crawford's role. The Clips really needed some talent on the roster and a trade was the only way to do it since they're pretty much at the cap.

I never understood why that sort of "stat" is allowed anyways. He could just as easily talked to only 3 people and made up the rest, or talked to people who are of low status in the organization.

That's true, but even if the poll was legit, those coaches and execs have a different view point than whoever hands out the actual MVP. It always goes to the best player on the winning team in the series. If any loser would have a case for it, it would be Lebron though.

Hes better then Barnes defensively but guy is a head case. Move doesnt really make them any worse or better next year, was probably just to get out from under Hawes contract, guy stinks.

Even with the cap going up i expect a lot of teams to deal off dead weight signed past 2016, gonna be a great FA class.

Joel Embiid may miss the beginning of next season and could be out for all of 15-16 after a setback in the healing of his right foot.

"He was their guy," said the executive, who spoke on condition of anonymity. "They were hoping he was a franchise player. If he's not a franchise player, their whole plan is gone. . . . If Embiid can't play or if he can't reach a superstar level, their plan is really in trouble."

Sam Hinkie said in a statement Saturday that a recent CT scan, performed in Los Angeles, revealed less healing than anticipated at this point. His recovery time was expected to be five to eight months. But the Sixers handled his rehabilitation with caution and he was expected to sit out the season.

"Our priority remains providing Joel with every opportunity to ensure he has a long and successful NBA career," Hinkie said Saturday. ". . . We will continue to consult with the experienced team of doctors who have been an integral part of his evaluation, while also engaging in dialogue with a broader set of experts and specialists."

Embiid is not expected to participate in Summer League.

"I don't think anyone [around the league] is surprised at all," the NBA executive said. "Cleveland and Milwaukee [which picked first and second in last summer's draft] would not consider him because of the foot and back injuries."

Another league source said Embiid's latest setback would not influence the Sixers' plan in the June 25 draft.

Sucks for them and for Joel. I heard he had some issues with weight gain during rehab which couldn't have helped. Hopefully he can get back on track. If somehow Russell goes in the top 2, and Towns or Okafor are there at 3, do the Sixers take another talented big?

I don't either but you never know. Maybe the Lakers somehow get Gasol in FA to pair with Randle in the frontcourt. And Russell has been killing it in his workouts lately. Bigs are tough to evaluate. It would be really surprising if both Towns & Okafor live up to the potential being placed on them.

Wouldn't surprise me at all to see Bron go for 45+ tonight. Only thing working against him is it was only a day off in between and he usually does better with 2 days in between. But no time for excuses and being tired now.
