You're overpaying Amir, considering that his knees are very weak.

Considering its a one year deal it really doesn't hurt them.

Yeah Amir wasnt an awful deal. Especially with the cap about to rise. Gives them flexibility for next season.

Teams are paying max contracts for mainly mediocore players. This was not a great free agent class I'm glad the sixers didn't make any moves for these players

The only time Mo denied it was when LeBron returned to Cleveland and I bet Mo had the idea of teaming up again. That's when he's had his most success. He didn't want to damage his relationship with LeBron. I can easily understand that it's fake, but it's hilarious.

The reason you see these longterm huge deals is because of the cap increase that's coming. Teams like Toronto who signed Carroll to big longterm deals are actually doing themselves a favor IMO.

Again, the 2nd years on both the Johnson and Jerebko deals aren't guaranteed. Trader Danny knows how valuable those non guaranteed contracts are in deals, and he will be making a number of them between now and next summer.

Exactly. Look at how valuable Brendan Haywood's contract is to the Cavs right now.

Just saw that not too long ago. You can't sign contracts until the 9th so I guess technically he could reverse his decision if he wanted to. I have to imagine CP3 has reached out to try to clear some of their issues. Honestly it never made sense for him to go Dallas anyway. Clippers are the much better team, and can pay him the most money. Would be a huge blow to Dallas if he reversed course now.

Also wouldn't be the 1st to flip flop. Dwight Howard obviously a few years ago, and Boozer when he bailed on Cleveland for Utah.

Good news for the C's since they have Dallas' pick (top 7 protected) next year. Still think DJ would get exposed in Dallas for his lack of offensive production.

He was playing with 2 of the top 10 players in the league(arguably), don't know why he would go and play with Parsons, Dirk and Matthews. I guess he wants more of a roll.

That would be great for the Celtics. No way they make the playoffs if they lose DJ. They would be lucky to win 40 games.

Honestly I don't know why they didn't try engaging the Kings in a sign and trade. They were desperately trying to dump salary and assets to clear cap space. Could have picked up Thompson, Landry, Stauskas, and some picks for a player they had no interest in keeping. Instead they lose Rondo and a valuable pick for absolutely nothing.

This DJ situation is getting nuts. Doc and Cuban are flying to Houston to meet with him. Paul Pierce is a part of the meeting too. He's leaning toward signing with the Clips and he also apparently called Doc Monday and said that he had made a mistake.

I hope he stays in LA. They are a title contender in the West if he does stay.

I don't know what the Dallas fan base is like, but if someone did that to a Boston team they should probably think about not making the trip out when their team plays them(this is terribly worded sry).

I mean what free agents are even left out there? He just f----- them.

Definitely not any starting caliber ones. They would probably have to work a trade. Cuban did say they would tank if they missed out on Deandre and Wes, so who knows. Which really doesn't make sense since you guys own their pick.

wait, how do you default on a contract you just signed lol.

it's good for the clippers though, losing deandre would be a huge blow.
