He runs a great offense that's light years ahead of the sets Thibs would run. @Big Mitch told me he's pretty similar in style and attitude to Steve Kerr, so I'm hopeful he can take us to the next level.

Lol I was just typing about how I told you how much I liked him. @Lost Batarang you guys will LOVE Hoiberg. You got an absolute NBA ready coach in a great situation who can do damage with a team like that. The players will love him too. As for his coaching style, Phoodini kinda hit it. His offense is a lot better than Thibs, but it relied a lot on three pointers at Iowa State. They lived and died by the three. Which was part of the reason they lost to UAB in the opening round of the tournament last year. I'm sure he'll switch up his schemes a little bit to fit the Bulls better because they're not necessarily a strong shooting team. As for the Steve Kerr comparison, I'm still 100% standing by that. Like I said, the players will love him and he'll be a good locker room guy. Both of them are former NBA players but Kerr obviously has the upper hand playing for many championship teams.

It might take Hoiberg a year to really mesh with the team, but he's a great hire for you guys and any team should've gone after him. Even over Billy Donavan IMO.

The Warriors obviously had Mark Jackson before Kerr, and he was a hard a--- similar to Thibs, so I'm praying Swagberg has that same affect on them that Kerr did.

Lmao no I didn't see that. Favorite part is Fran at the end. He's my favorite coach in college basketball. (Besides UNI's Ben Jacobson)

That's great, although it would be best if Rose isn't taking up a lot of three point shots. If he can further develop and utilize Snell and McDermott in a cohesive system, that could be key. Accounting for injuries and the new system, 45 - 55 wins is probably their window. A fair amount though will depend on the improvement of the East, as the Bucks and Celtics are rising with their young cores, and the Magic too.

Agree with Rose, he really needs to get those short to medium floaters/push shots back into his game. I think with a year under his belt his timing will be really improved as far as finishing near the rim goes I can't wait to see how Snell and McDermott have improved because they need to play well off the bench. The Bucks will definitely be in the mix with Jabari coming back, but I think the Celtics and Magic are a bit further away, unless they make some moves.

Celtics will most definitely be a playoff team IMO. With the addition of Lee and Johnson to go along with all the young talent they have, there's no reason they won't be better than last season assuming it wasn't a fluke. They were one of the best teams in basketball the second half of the season I think I read.

That's true. I think they'll definitely improve but I still don't think there's anyway they get out of the 1st round.

Yep I agree. They'll be the bottom half of the East and the top half will be strong.

@Kon thoughts on the Lakers possibly signing Metta World Peace? He wasn't very good his last few years there, but he was expected to be a top 3-4 player on that team. I think for the vet minimum you could do a lot worse.

Ugh, I don't know. I mean they already have a lot of players and I want some of the young guys like Anthony Brown (2nd round pick this year) to make the team, signing Metta might hurt that. I have no f---in clue why they picked up Sacre's option so quickly in the offseason, he definitely should be gone, he sucks. I wish they got Upshaw instead of him, dude had a lot of potential.

I guess I'm alright with giving Metta a shot, if he's motivated and focused he could be helpful on defense. One thing I liked about him when he was on the Lakers is the effort was almost always there and he showed up in big games. I have mixed feelings about it though as I'm worried about which guy would be left out if they sign him, and also a little worried about potential chemistry issues with the team although that'd probably be fine.

I think at this point with his defense, effort, and work ethic, he would be a positive influence in the locker room. Word is Kobe is on board with it, so that helps. I agree on letting the young guys get the spot over him. We already know what Metta is at this point, so it's not worth it to cut him over somebody like Brown.

On a more positive note, Kobe will be the next guest on Shaq's next podcast. http://mweb.cbssports.com/nba/eye-o...n-shaqs-podcast-both-express-regret-over-feud

Here's a preview of the podcast that was played on ESPN Radio today.

"A lot of stuff was said out of the heat of the moment," O'Neal said in an excerpt from the podcast that was played on ESPN Radio on Wednesday. "I guarantee I don't remember a lot of stuff that they said, because I changed my thought process of, you know what, we won three out of four, what the h--- are you all talking about? This is not really even a story."

Said Bryant: "Here's the thing, though. When you say it at the time, you actually mean it, and then when you get older you have more perspective, and you're like holy s---. I was an idiot when I was a kid.

"To me, the most important thing was really, 'just keep your mouth shut.' You don't need to go to the press with stuff. You keep it internal, and we have our arguments and our disagreements, but I think having our debates within the press was something I wish would've been avoided. But it did kind of create this whirlwind around us as a team with myself and Shaq and the press and the media that just put so much pressure on us as an organization."
