    Yeah huge wastes of potential generational talents. Embiid though, you not only decide to not wear your boot, you keep hooping and are even dunking on a healing foot? Complete moron.
    Guy was lights out in college I definitely thought he'd fine a rotation spot somewhere.

    I thought Jimmer would find a team as well, but I thought the Kings were stupid to pick him so high. Like redsoxxx said I never saw him as more than an Eddie House type player.

    The Kings are probably the shittiest drafting team in the league lately. Go look at the guys they've drafted in the first round the past 5-6 years. It's embarrassing. (outside of Demarcus and Tyreke)

    Yup way too high for him and pretty much everyone knew that except for the Kings. They also gave away half of their role players and Stauskas for virtually nothing, so that they could sign Rondo lol. Such a terribly run franchise.

    Is hilarious.

    i see what you guys are saying... but there's a lot that goes into it. i think he's one of those guys that the Cavs absolutely need come playoff time. when it comes down to certain match ups and situations, he is a much better option than Kevin Love or Mozgof. plus, he was going to get this much (probably more) from a different team. this was what they needed to pay him in order to keep him. it also helps that LeBron more than likely had a ton of pressure on the Cavs front office to sign him... they don't wanna lose LeBron again lol.

    overall, i definitely think they overpaid for a guy, like you said, only averages 8 & 8, but very few guys can rebound the ball like he can... and it's not like he's putting up these numbers with starting minutes. he was barely getting 25 minutes a night out there. sometimes, you just gotta pay guys like this.

    they didn't have many other options. even with the trade exception regarding the brendan haywood deal. sure, it gives them much more flexibility next year, but i doubt they find a guy as good as tristan thompson.

    My thing is you're paying a 80 million to a guy coming off the bench. It just sounds ridiculous. He is better than Love in certain situations but they could have got somebody comparable for much cheaper. The deal might not look as bad with the cap increase the next few years, but dude definitely doesn't deserve it.
