Celtics, Suns and Clippers have completed a three way trade. Celtics send Austin Rivers to LA, Clippers send Reggie Bullock to the Suns and Chris Douglas Roberts and a 2017 second-round pick to the Celtics and the Suns also send Shavlik Randolph to the Celtics.

Bold prediction since he's been awful lately but I hope you're right. Hopefully Kobe has 1 or 2 more great games left this year before they shut him down until next year.

I actually kinda want the Lakers to lose tonight since they need all the L's they can get to keep their draft pick. But if Kobe's gonna go off and play great, then I'd rather they win, I'm just not expecting it. We should see right away what kind of game Kobe's gonna play cuz lately when he's been bad, he's started out like 1-7 or something. I think that Kobe playing great and having a triple double type game is more likely than Kobe playing great and getting 30 or 40+.

*edit* d---, great call Solo. Amazing 1st quarter for Kobe, 7 points 8 assists and 3 boards.

Great 1st half for Kobe, 12 points and 10 assists, also shot well and the Lakers are winning.

Kobe almost had a 20/20 game in 32 minutes at age 36. Holy s--- what a performance, credit to @M Solo for calling it lol.

19 and 17, d---. Very fun game to watch, Bron was great too.

Kobe's defense was ridiculous when he started guarding LeBron. Always a great match up to see.

That surprised me a lot, I didn't think Kobe still had it in him to play great defense even for short spurts. Kobe is f---in amazing, yeah I know Lebron and the Cavs won the game but that's not Kobe's fault. He's on a minutes restriction, had he been healthy enough to play that whole 4th quarter or if Nick Young could have hit any shots in the 4th, it'd have been a different story. His defense on Bron was not something I thought he could still do, Kobe stepped the f--- up. I can't say enough about his game tonight, he was great. 19 points, 17 assists, efficient shooting, great D at the end on Lebron. Wow.

Yeah, I knew if Kobe was going to have one of those games it'd be his first game against Lebron in nearly 2 years..... Especially after the media has all but forgotten everything Kobe has ever done and declared Lebron just the absolute greatest athlete to ever walk the Earth. The game was bittersweet though. I'm pissed that Byron Scott mismanaged Kobe's minutes so badly he has restrictions now. If he'd had been allowed back in at the 9 minute mark I think the Lakers get the W and Kobe ends up with 20/20. I know the Lakers would need the losses but that could have been special. Still incredible that 36 year old KB who was only allowed to play the second half of the 4th quarter and a bunch of D-Leaguers almost pulled out a win.

After playing 0 minutes the last 2 games, Wayne Ellington will start tonight instead of Kobe. I'm starting to agree with everyone about Byron Scott, the guy is terrible with his rotations and has been all year really. I never understood Sacre getting so much playing time earlier in the year either especially after they picked up Black. I guess I don't mind since the Lakers need to lose anyways but hope this isn't an issue in future years when they're trying to win.

    2016 draft
    1st round: Boston, Brooklyn, Minnesota2, Cleveland7, Dallas1
    2nd round: Philadelphia5, Minnesota2, Miami, Cleveland, Dallas8

    2017 draft
    1st round: Boston9, Memphis10
    2nd round: Boston9, Cleveland, Minnesota2, Clippers

    2018 draft
    1st round: Boston, Brooklyn
    2nd round: Boston

    2019 draft (and beyond)11
    1st round: Boston
    2nd round: Boston

    1. [Dallas’ pick is protected selections 1-3 and 15-30 in 2015; protected 1-7 from 2016-2020; unprotected 2021]
    2. [Minnesota’s pick (via the Suns) is protected 1-12 in 2015 and 2016; becomes 2016 and 2017 second-round picks]
    3. [Philadelphia’s pick is lottery protected selections 1-14]
    4. [Boston’s pick is conveyed to Cleveland if between selections 56-60]
    5. [Philadelphia's pick is conveyed if first-round pick is in lottery]
    6. [Washington’s pick is protected selections 31-49]
    7. [Cleveland’s pick is top-10 protected until 2019]
    8. [Better of Dallas/Memphis second-round pick]
    9. [Boston has option to swap first-round pick with Brooklyn; second-round pick to Nets if swapped and 45+]
    10. [Memphis pick is delivered two years after Grizzlies fulfill obligation to Denver. Pick is protected 1-11 in 2017; 1-13 in 2018; 1-9 in 2019; 1-7 in 2020, unprotected in 2021]
    11. [If all outstanding picks are previously delivered]

Ya not bad, Ton of protections on the picks and the Minnesota/Philly picks wont be firsts most likely but they will end up in the early-mid thirties. The move is to tank this year and next and then cash in on the Brooklyn picks.

Kobe on the possibility of retiring before the end of next year when his contract's up 'I'd be lying if I said it hasn't crossed my mind."

    :emoji_slight_frown: :emoji_slight_frown: :emoji_slight_frown:

Hope he's healthy enough to stick around for 1 more playoff push next year, but if he's gonna sit out as often as he has lately then I guess he might as well just retire as sad as that is for me to say. I mean he's sitting out 3 out of every 4 games or so right now. Of course Byron Scott not managing his minutes for the 1st 30 games this year didn't help but still, it's hard to imagine Kobe being healthy enough for a full season right now.

Now I'm REALLY hoping he plays at the game I go to in February, but it's probably unlikely, d--- back to back. My only hope is if he sits out the game the day before.

Hawks are on absolute fire, i don't know if anyone in the East can beat them, maybe the Bulls if they click in the playoffs. Their starting 5 is like a mini vintage Spurs. Pistons are really creeping up, 10-2 since cutting Josh Smith... I thought it was a fluke at first but they seem pretty for real. Monroe/Drummond front court is one of the best, if not the best in the league and everyones just clicking since Josh Smith isn't throwing up bricks anymore, now just B Jennings is. Van Gundy will have them a legitimate threat within the next couple years but I wonder how much they'll climb this year.

Brooklyn's first rounder in 2016 isn't protected, right?

None of the Brooklyn picks are protected and they have the right to swap in 2017

I know his body is worn out and everything, but I'm not sure of the extent of this. Playing once every 4-5 games wouldn't be happening if the team wasn't clearly tanking. If he has a summer to get back in shape, and Byron Scott can give him the Tim Duncan treatment (30ish minutes, sits back to backs/random games) then I think we could see a more efficient Kobe. The question is, is it worth it? Not sure why a 37 year old Kobe would want to play on a below .500 rebuilding team.

I have to say though... The last 4 minutes of the Cavs game the other night was really fun to watch. The one on one with Kobe and Lebron was great to see.
