He can't be much worse. Hornets are a horribly run franchise. Luckily, they kinda hit on Kemba. Otherwise they've drafted MKG, Kaminsky, Cody Zeller, and Monk (who could be good) with like nothing to show for it. Combined with the horrible contracts (Batum, Howard, MKG, and like everyone lol), they're f-----.

I heard something about KG being promised ownership, but that was when Flip Saunders was still alive or something like that. I'm not sure about that whole situation, but I could definitely see KG being interested, although I'm not sure he'd have the money to become majority owner. I don't think that was the plan anyway.

Last month KG said the only way he’d buy the team is if the current owner left so idk. Team can’t be worth too much up in Minnesota anyways

Happy to get a 1st round pick but I don't understand why we continue throwing in 2nd round picks in deals.

We're taking Asik's terrible contract, plus Allen and Nelson so NO has the roster space to pursue a buyout player. Why tf do we have to attach a 2nd rounder in this deal, plus 2nd round swap rights in 2021 for NO?Did the same thing in the trade with OKC where we gave up Taj/Doug and our 2nd rounder in this draft (most likely a top 7 pick of the 2nd round) for Cameron f---ing Payne, and then there's selling our 2017 2nd rounder for 3 million.

Overall I'm happy gaining a 1st on top of losing Niko/adding ping pong balls. The pick is top 5 protected in 2018, top 8 protected in 2019. I just wish we'd stop giving away 2nd rounders like candy.

He's arguably the biggest front runner/mercenary in NBA history when he inevitably bails this summer. On one hand I can't blame him since Gilbert seems intent on torpedoing that franchise for the 2nd time in 8 years, but a top 5 player OAT continuing to shuffle teams in his prime just doesn't sit right with me.

That Warriors report is so clearly a leak from Bron's camp, either to cause a rift in GS or to give the Cavs FO a wake up call to make some moves. It literally says in that report "there's no indication the Warriors are pursuing this option." On top of his passive aggressive post on IG the other day, I just can't with this guy sometimes lol.

Yea idk what they are trying to do by giving up all these second rounders, seems like it was unneeded a lot of times, especially in the draft last year. Also at least Asik only gets 3 mil guaranteed in a couple years, (his last) so it'll be a decently valuable expiring contract. I just think they did a s-----y job by signing Mirotic to that big of a deal when it sounds like they could've gotten away with giving him the qualifying offer instead of the contract he has now. Woulda made way more sense to give him up on that deal and then take back Asik's contract and a 1st. But who knows with GarPax lol.
Yea the Cavs have been horribly run every single year since LeBron has been there. Horrible coaching, some questionable signings and trades, and like you said, Dan Gilbert is an idiot. If the Pacers GM would've taken that offer in the offseason, I have a feeling these stories w/ LeBron wouldn't even be out right now, cuz you'd probably see Bledsoe, George, and Melo all with him in Cleveland and they'd ideally be a solid defensive team. Cleveland is a disaster atm tho, which is why I think the chances of LeBron leaving are growing each day.

Knowing Bron though, him and the Cavs will figure it out, breeze through the playoffs, and then lose in 5-6 games to Golden State in the Finals.a

Didn’t even have to give s--- up. C’s have stood pat the last couple deadlines while the other top teams in the East have made moves. Obviously with the DPE they got from the Hayward injury meant a move like this was imminent. I’d like to see them make another move to improve, figure out if you want to pay Smart this offseason or Rozier next offseason, preferably the latter.

Tyreke Evans to the C’s was rumored and I wouldn’t hate that. Would be a pure rental though and Ainge usually doesn’t do that, but I think the Cavs are vulnerable this year. The Warriors aren’t but if you knock off the Cavs without Hayward, that to me makes it a lock that Lebron leaves and that would be worth the C’s giving up the 28th overall pick (along with w/e small pieces they’d need to part with).
