The 2k commentary(especially Chris Webber) annoyed me so I turned it off. The game actually sounds pretty cool when you turn the other sounds up and turn commentary off.

I can't believe how lazy they are with it, like surely you can just set aside a day where the commentators spend a few hours just saying heaps of s--- to provide material. There's literally like 10 minutes combined of commentary in the games. If that.

Brett Brown had to go sadly. Great guy and I appreciate everything he's done for Philly but it doesnt change the fact that he's useless. Elton Brands got to be next on the chopping block. Let's face it, we are far from winning a championship and there are so many terrbile contracts on this roster. Hinkie didnt die for this......

Complicated question but short answer is yes, I believe they can be successful with both and I want to keep both. I think we need a coach that gets the best out of Embiid and Simmons and takes their games to the next level. Embiid only wants to be the best center in the league when its convenient for him and Simmons hides in his shell of comfort instead of rising to elite status by developing a shot (outside of practice).

Now for argument sake and to entertain you, I am torn on who I would trade if one needed to go. I love Embiid and he is proven to dominate. He has shown things that only olajuwon has done and in the short time he had to learn is a wild accomplishment in itself. But he has also proven he can't carry a team like AI which we all know he strives for those comparisons from Philly folk. Simmons is one good coach away from that prospective "lebron" phase everyone has been talking about since he entered the league. And as much as I am not a Lebron fan, who doesn't want that type of talent on their roster? Also They both are slightly injury prone. But after consideration, with Simmons 24 and Embiid 26. Simmons has more upside, and Embiid knees will probably give out sooner than anything on Simmons, Im looking to trade Embiid.

I think the most accurate description I've heard of Simmons is it's not that he can't s---t, it's that he won't s---t.

Edit: Also, yeah I'd take Simmons over Embiid if it came down to it and that's not Aussie bias either ha - well maybe a bit I don't know.

Feels like years now that I’ve been saying this exact sentence. Idk why the media doesn’t shred him more for this. How many jump shots has he taken in his career outside of 10 ft? It’s a serious problem. Every time he shoots it’s an event. Embarrassing in the year 2020.

Lmao I couldn’t imagine being Simmons, a number 1 draft pick and having everyone go crazy like that because I made a 3. I feel embarrassed for him in those moment.

honestly I don’t particularly care if he is taking 5-10 threes a game or not. I just want to see that he can be a threat outside of the lane and be able to create opportunities for the rest of his teammates off that. If he just develops a solid jumper I’ll be happy.

I agree, they should really try to make it work with both of them. That’s two franchise players that could be the cornerstone of a perennial championship team. Personally if I had to pick one now, I’d go with Embiid because he’s proven he can dominate, he was brilliant in the Celtics series. He’s such a rare talent. I personally haven’t been a huge fan of simmons and while yes it’s possible he’s “one” coach away from making the leap, Embiid is already there. If I were a Sixers fan, I’d be ok with moving simmons for a similar player with slightly less talent so long as he is also the glue guy/team leader to take that added responsibility away from Embiid.

Regardless, I don’t subscribe to the theory that Philly must move one of them soon, that they both can’t coexist and succeed at the same time. I’d give them another year or two before making that decision. Although if Philly doesn’t think simmons will make the leap, it’s always better to trade while the stock is high. Either way, they have options and it’ll be fascinating to see what moves and direction they go in the upcoming seasons. If they play their cards right they should be one of the best teams in the East for a number of years.
