Wonder what they'll do now. As great of a fight as Hendricks vs Thompson is, I can't see it headlining Super Bowl weekend

Anybody think Henry Cejudo could dethrone DJ? His clinch and wrestling are the perfect tool to do it as evidenced by DJ-Cruz and DJ-McCall I. I love DJ, but I feel like the division would be taken more seriously if he faltered. Dodson hasn't lost to anybody but DJ in 6 years, but people still call the division a joke.

DJ has improved so much since the Cruz & 1st McCall fights(plus he's now settled into the FLW division) I don't really think Cejudo has much of a chance, he's been losing rounds to guys who aren't in the same stratosphere as DJ. Honestly wouldn't be surprised if we see DJ take a page out of JBJ's book(when he fought Cormier) and take Cejudo down. DJ mixes it up more then anyone in the game right now, but for whatever reason it doesn't look like he'll ever be popular.

Cejudo has been striking a lot, self admittedly, to get experience. Mighty Mouse is technically the best fighter in the UFC for my money, but Cruz beat him because he made it physical after realizing he couldn't stand with him. I wouldn't favor Cejudo, but a disciplined gameplan with a lot of clinchwork and Olympic Goldtier ground control would certainly put him in position to make it competitive. I think the only way to beat DJ is by winning the first 3 or knocking him out so at least this matchup has the possibility of being interesting.

Cejudo has the style to give him problems by just suffocating him with pressure, but he won't catch DJ. Cruz was so efficient with his takedowns because his striking had to be respected and keeping him down had a lot to do with likely a 15 LB advantage. Cejudo can do one thing in this fight and DJ knows it. Not to diminish Cejudo's striking, just noting that DJ is on another level.

I'm interested to see the odds for the fight. The fact they aren't out there (and we've known about this fight since Cejudo's last fight) tells you how little respect the FLW division gets.

Expecting this fight to either co main Jones/DC 2 or headline the April FOX event.

Sorry for the delayed response when I blaze I tend to put off responding to longer posts lol

DJ is susceptible to takedowns when he gets backed into the cage. I just recently marathoned his career and it's one thing I don't think he can help just because he's so small. Cruz was the only one strong enough to keep him there, besides McCall, but like I said, it will be interesting to see what happens when/if Cejudo gets in that position. I also don't think Cruz had DJ's respect. He was getting absolutely clowned by the speed and moment of DJ. Still, it takes 5 rounds to outpoint somebody and a split second to hammer fist somebody unconscious.

Yea I'll have to give that DJ/Cruz fight another watch don't think I've seen that fight since the night it happened. Thought I remembered Cruz having success on the feet. Hard to believe he didn't have respect for Cruz's striking considering the way he fought Torres in his previous fight though.

Didn't you just say you would rather see BJ fight(currently) then 95% of the roster?

Siver is the type of fight I'm willing to watch from BJ, I'm all done with these mismatch fights(whether it be due to size, skill or both) he's taken against guys like Rory, Diaz or Frankie. Siver is a fringe top 15 FW, that's who he should be fighting imo.

Good news I didn't even know they could do this.

@redsoxx yeah I definitely would rather watch BJ than the vast majority of the current roster, I just meant I think this is a pretty boring matchup. I agree with you rankings-wise he shouldn't be up against a top dog but they could've set up something more exciting on paper like Brandao (dunno if hes suspended or what) or returning TKZ or something

^Rashad Evans vs Shogun & Mike Chiesa vs Beneil Dariush also on the card.

Wonder if they will do DJ/Cejudo on this card, they haven't put DJ on Fox since the 2nd Benavidez fight. Probably has something to do with the ratings not being great.

It was just announced that 196 is now a Fight Night card instead, 197 is now 196, which means UFC will be adding an additional PPV before UFC 200, so they'll probably save it for one of those cards. Apparently Evans vs Shogun is going to be the main event for the Fox card, but that's not confirmed

#rematch Hi everyone, i was quiet for a while because i was waiting for my rematch based on how the fight Went down, in fact I was already training for it, but apparently I was wrong. So I wanted to make something clear to UFC: for everything I have done, everything I have accepted and mostly how the fight ended, I will not accept any other fight other than a title shot . My only exception would be fighting thenotorious , at any time, anywhere , and once that he is afraid and knows that I'm gonna win .... Doesn't have to be title fight against him. Keep my belt, but I wanna whoop ur a--- anywhere. @danawhite @lorenzofertitta @ufc keep ur word. I still believe in the company that I work for. #rematch
