Spain should have beaten Italy, they were the better team especially the second half. I think England can definitely beat this Italian side… only issue is getting the ball past Donnarumma, man is a machine. What a keeper.

In the 2nd half??????? when they did nothing but pass the ball around. Italy had 4 shots on target during the 2nd half Spain only 2.

Tell me what Spain did other then passing the ball around for 120 minutes.

When they needed to defend, Italy 100% managed to ruin their defense especially on counter attacks every single time. When they needed to score there was no one there to do it cause Italy defense was as always top class.

How did they play better. Define better, besides possession. That tiki taka s--- is so ugly and useless if you don't have someone to score.

I'm not sure you were watching the same game were you? I don't care about stats but the game I watched had Spain dominating the attack for the largest part of the game. Putting pressure on Italy and it showed. Italy scored a great goal but that was one well played counter.

Italy seemed to pick it up at the end and Spain seemed to be dying down, I agree. But for at least 70% of the game Spain dominated.

But I guess all fans do this, it's impossible to see something objectively when you're so passionate about something. It blinds you. We're all guilty of it.

Again, just passing the ball around and not knowing what to do with it in front of the goal is not domination. Domination is when you have more chances to score and when you win the game.

Look overall during this tournament, Spain struggled every single game with this style. For 50 minutes against Switzerland after they had a one man advantage all they did was pass the ball around and couldn't even score once.

I don't why teams from Spain keep pushing this boring a--- style. It was one and done they should get over it already. It looks bad.

I mean, even Barcelona had higher possession % against Bayern when they lost 8-2.

I can't wait for this game tonight! It's actually on 4:30am my time then I have to go to work around 7:30 fml.......

I've seen a lot of noise about this, but this has got to be a huge reach. So if England win is Mason Mount in contention? He was Chelsea's player of the year after all.

Well try to answer yourself this questions: What Spain did other then passing the ball around for the entire game?

Italy had the better chances to score, hit the post twice, were better in defense, better on the counter attack.

But yeah, possession. That goes to Spain, the magic of passing the ball to one another with no purpose.

They dominated most of the second half and were very unlucky to not score. Italy had em on the counter attack. If Spain had a striker I feel they probably would have just about won that game.

They were literally more threatening in the final third for majority of the game lol. Italy in some portions were also struggling to get the ball or build up. Either way I said Italy would win the tournament before it started so I’m not shading them, I’m just saying spain did play better.

If this was any other year, I'd agree. That's our speciality. But I think we've broken that mould.
