First thoughts:
- Brand New Car is a fun intro song.
- I hope the iTunes version is much better quality.
- The skits/interludes are pointless. They jarringly separate the album. This isn't TPAB, it's Bronson. Give me bars.
- City Boy Blues needs a verse.
- That 2 minute intro into A Light In The Addict is unnecessary. It's a classic track. Might be my favorite on the album. But now I have to skip to the middle of the song upon every listen.
- "Dawg, what the f--- is with your mother? She got one leg longer than the other"
- Chance's verse is gold.
- Hooks are hit or miss.
- I appreciate simple production more than anyone, but some of this project becomes monotonous and drags on. Especially during Falconry and Galactic Love.
- Only In America doesn't vibe well. It's a good idea with bad execution.
- Album needed a b-----r (see: Strictly For My Jeeps).
- We were spoiled with Easy Rider and Actin' Crazy.
For a "debut studio album", Mr. Wonderful feels like just another Bronson mixtape. Overall, slightly disappointed. We got a few classic Bronson tracks, and that's all we can really ask for.Last edited: Mar 20, 2015CODEiNE DEMON, Goku187, Fazers and 2 others like this. -

At some point, it becomes too repetitive. Put obscure sports references, food references, drug references in a bowl, out comes a verse. It's a formula that works for him and for a lot of his more mindless fans, they can never get enough of it. But for his older fans, there has to be something else there. He sells it because of his personality but if he were any other rapper, it would be a bigger issue. And I still enjoy his music and his music videos/food videos, I just want to see him start putting together concepts better. He doesn't necessarily need to change his subject matter. "Hookers At The Point" is about drugs and cheap hookers but the way he broke down each perspective was genius. Or "Ronnie Coleman", which deals with his weight and how he's trying hard to lose weight but always finds himself in the refrigerator. He can still do the s--- that people love but be more creative about it. For him, it should be easy to do, he's done it before, he has the talent. -

"Bronson is gearing up to drop his highly anticipated new album Mr. Wonderful. The rapper reveals the title comes from his "very tongue-in-cheek, sarcastic, Jewish, Brooklyn mother" calling him Mr. Wonderful after he'd "do something wrong and was a shithead." Who is he working with on the album? Oh, just some super producers like Mark Ronson, Alchemist, 88 Keys and more."
Easy Rider dropped in August:
Action Bronson tweeted last night (11/24/14) that his album was finally finished:
Action Bronson has slowly worked his way into my shortlist of favorite rappers. Surprised at how many people sleep on him. I'm more excited about Mr. Wonderful than almost any other album.
EARLY 2015.

I been a Bronson fan since Dr. Lecter dropped, was very happy to get a physical copy early on Friday. love this album. negatives are: that Thug Story Interlude was not needed, would've liked a AG Da Coroner feature on Falconry, Light In a Addict should've had three verses, City Boy Blues should've had some bars. other than that great album. doesn't compare to his mixtapes but a real cohesive album.FlawlessT, Fazers, Radeem and 1 other person like this. -

This is such a fun album, but at the same time, I really feel like it could have been so much more.
Bronson should have given us a rap opera. Brand New Car and Easy Rider are perfect beginning and ending, and you can see how Baby Blue and A Light in the Addict could have fit into a story. I think a lot of the pieces are already there (the title Mr. Wonderful is perfect), but it still needed some tweaking.JFK, JXY, CODEiNE DEMON and 1 other person like this. -

i like it. it's not my favorite bronson; when i'm in the mood for bronson i'll go to one of the blue chips, not quite enough absurdity here. but it's good, it's cohesive, it has a specific sound and perspective. it'll be great live. behind the blue chips tapes, probably neck-and-neck with rare chandeliers. -
