I agree a lot of what you said. I enjoy his music but a lot of it follows similar formulas, and I feel like a couple of the lines from Actin Crazy feels like s--- I've heard him say already.

Production on that is crazy though

Don't see it happening. He is what he is. Would be nice to see him challenge himself though. Dude has only been big on the scene since The Symbol, right? At least he has a lot of single producer projects. That really gives him an extra dynamic.

I've been thinking about the same thing since I first heard this new single earlier today. I'm sure the album will comprise of really dope songs with a dazzling production, but as a whole, the album is gonna suffer from not having a concept behind all these songs. They will not tie with each other, therefore you would feel like you listen to some greatest hits compilation.

Acting Crazy is a fire tho. Better than Easy Rider which was a dope song too.

I don't really want Bronson to have clear cut concepts or whatver

I want him to rap about shooting guns with his daughter on the weekend (smokin butter the same color as the weeknd)

Bronson is one of the few rappers I could listen to an entire album about nothing and love every second of it.

    Blue chips 1&2 m8

I can listen to em front to back, whenever, a not a give a f--- about thematic cohesion of whatever Tone was talking about

It's Bronson's personality, delivery and stream of conscious rhyming/content that makes me love his s---

I want rappers like Bronson to evolve with every album. On the other hand, maybe you're right and my expectations are too high. I don't know. We'll see how this album will turn out.

It's not about high expectations, it's about expecting something from the artist that he isn't known for, or that isn't part of his style

    Telling stories/having themes doesn't automatically = evolution/better

    nahmean?

Not to say that trying new things is bad, it's not. It'd be great if he did new things as well as his current style.

But I don't have any problems with him just doin his current style as great as he has been, or even better if possible

At some point, it becomes too repetitive. Put obscure sports references, food references, drug references in a bowl, out comes a verse. It's a formula that works for him and for a lot of his more mindless fans, they can never get enough of it. But for his older fans, there has to be something else there. He sells it because of his personality but if he were any other rapper, it would be a bigger issue. And I still enjoy his music and his music videos/food videos, I just want to see him start putting together concepts better. He doesn't necessarily need to change his subject matter. "Hookers At The Point" is about drugs and cheap hookers but the way he broke down each perspective was genius. Or "Ronnie Coleman", which deals with his weight and how he's trying hard to lose weight but always finds himself in the refrigerator. He can still do the s--- that people love but be more creative about it. For him, it should be easy to do, he's done it before, he has the talent.
