I know your hurt, but attacking my parental abilities is a low blow. Both of those things took less than a minute each. My daughter was napping. I’m a good father, and in the real world I’m a good person. I have a personality disorder and the partial anonymity of the internet can bring out the worst in that.

I’m not excusing myself or seeking sympathy when I say this, just want to explain but I was really sexually abused as a kid as well as emotionally and physically and many people come out of that with lifelong trauma and mental illness and I’m actually lucky that I have a mild personality disorder that rarely affects my day to day life.

Its not an excuse, but learning about it can help me address it.

I really am sorry to whomever I’ve hurt or made feel uncomfortable, it’s a lot of people. I will never do things like that again. Whether or not I’m on the site, whether or not I’m angry at anybody, no matter what those are boundaries I will never again cross.

I’m doing the best I can do which is apologizing for the past and not continuing these actions in the future. The last time I contacted anybody off site was two or three months ago. I’m trying to be a better person, that’s all I can do and that’s the example I’ll set for my daughter.
I am embarrassed, but I also have to face that embarrassment and own up to my actions. I’m showing respect the only way I can by apologizing.

But if you truly believe I’m mentally ill, and you still feel the need to attack me, that shows a lot about you. It’s okay to be disappointed in me and mad at me, but attacking me for something which I’m trying to correct that is caused by mental illness is not going to help me do better.
