That was definitely better than the first episode. I thoroughly enjoyed it... every character has a sense of mystery behind them that I'm interested in discovering. The character development has quite a lot of potential I believe. Don't really understand why the reaction to the show so far has been predominantly negative.

disagree, i feel like with the right actor, that staccato rhythm of speech would sound more natural. something about his approach to the material/character just doesnt quite work, imo.

i will say i thought his scene with the kid last night "your heart is gold" was pretty well delivered

This season pales in comparison to the first in every category. The characters are so over the top. Obviously the trooper is gay as f---. Rachel McAdams is uninteresting. Vince Vaughn is aight. Colin's character is awesome though. Him beating up that kid's dad in the first episode was so f----- up but hilarious to me. a--- pen lmao. Then he just took off to go get f---in' drunk. Ready to find out what he did to the guy who r---d his ex.

This season has been a little slow, but I'm really enjoying it. Reminds me of a better version of The Killing. I have a feeling the payoff will be huge & unexpected. This is all a setup.

Loved the casting from day one. VV looks like he's going to k--- this but God d--- I can't get over what a f-- Colin Farrell looks like. Ugh.

Nah, there's a definite disconnect between him and the others. The ties are there, but those ties mostly start and stop in his brief scenes with Ray. The majority of his screen time is spent dealing with the fall of his business, his attempts to rise to the top again, and his relationship with his wife. Those are all things that don't really have any relevance to the other characters in the show or the main case. Has he even had a scene with McAdams or Kitsch?

Piz tried to make two main arcs that could function as one because of the connections between the characters. This would be fine if we were going to get to another season of them, but there just isn't enough time to do that properly in an eight episode season. Really hope next season sticks to 1-2 main characters unless more time is given to flesh things out.
