    @WrestlingBros
    Seems like we were on the money with Lio Rush and Ricochet going to 205 Live. Lio has to be a cruiserweight for a few years before he gets taken seriously as a heavyweight. Ricochet dosent have any promo ability

    If 205 Live gets back to CWC level awesomeness then this’ll be great!

    I'd argue that it's already there. This tournament has been great.

    Work wise, it's close. The atmosphere and crowd reaction just isn't there.

    This Pipers Pit segment at WrestleMania 21 was awesome. It's a shame Austin and Piper weren't in their peak at the same time, we could've gotten an epic feud between the two

    Why is it that the WWE sucks now compared to the attitude, aggression era? Obviously I think wrestling in general just isn’t growing with the younger generation and doesn’t connect with adult fans like they did 15 years ago. Way too scripted and controlled and they need to let the younger talent be more creative in their own ways.

    Usually around mania I like watching old shows and updated interviews online about the old era but I’m so disappointed and let down this year just thinking about Reigns being the main event. And not a single match I’m looking forward to. I don’t think Vince is looking at the WWE long term anymore. I’m getting he knows he’s old and his time could be up any day and that he’s already a billionaire and knows wwe won’t matter for him soon when he passes away. I think it’s selfish and he seriously needs to realize how bad ratings and even werrstling in general spiraled downhill the past 2 years. Pushing Reigns 2 years ago didn’t work and isn’t going to work now.

    And to think on even smack down the b show in 2003 (Kurt, Brock, Rock, HHH, undertaker) was better and more entertaining than what this wrestlemania will be. I almost forgot how good it really use to be. Smack down had Kurt (in his prime) vs taker on the show. Brock in his early days vs Kurt, rock on smack down.

    I’m curious to see what happens when the WWE can’t rely on old faces to headline their big shows. Undertaker may be done for good this time if he feels he can’t go. They may still get a match or 2 out of the rock though I’m not sure. Shawn Michaels is done. Kurt may as well be it’s going to upset me if he looks too old and beat up in the ring. After Brock leaves even if he came back for next wrestlemania I don’t think he would get a big pop. Hopefully he does well in the ufc to keep his name full of hype then if he comes back in a few years there might be some excitement. Cena can’t keep going forever and you’re starting to see some age factor with him. I could see Cena blowing up one day over something that he doesn’t like and quitting the wwe. If they lost him they’d be in huge trouble.

    Cena's basically a part timer as it is. He's WWE for life and if he's stuck around this long, he isn't going anywhere. He'll be in the Rock/Brock role down the line, same with Orton.

    Here's what happened to the wrestling business. WWE got a bit better (relatively, it still s----d), WCW became a pile of s--- and went out of business, then ECW went out of business. Competition is good, right? Right. They then had the atrocious Invasion angle which buried WCW and the vast majority of its talent. So you have these kids who grew up watching WCW or ECW who stopped watching as they grew up, and the WWF fans doing the same as the product started to go downhill. The ruthless aggression era, despite a lot of great things, still had more tacky/ridiculous s--- that they thought used to get over in the 90's. Katie Vick? The lesbian love triangle with Torrie Wilson's dad? The Stephanie/Mr. McMahon feud and match? So on and so forth. Even 15 years ago, I really don't understand how the vast majority of adults could stomach watching something so gross and childish. Just got worse as the years went on and the popularity started to fade. The live sex celebration in 06? Like, what? When it gets to the point where even your most die hard defenders are embarrassed to even admit to liking your show, there's a problem. Just look at all the f---ing morons who come into these threads to make fun of us. The move to PG lost even more of those people who stuck around.

    Very important part of all of this is the rise of UFC/MMA in the early/mid 2000's. Wrestling was cool back then. Now all these teenagers and young males who used to be into wrestling are into that because it's "real" and not "fake" fighting, it's not corny, there's no frills, it's just tough guys beating each other up. If you're into MMA at all, the lead up to the fights are just as much pro wrestling as pro wrestling. It scratched that itch. Instead of getting together with your friends to watch the big PPV every month after being expected to watch two shows a week, now you can catch "the fights" at the bar or in a house party setting multiple times a month. WWE's average television audience is 50+. You look at the crowds of these shows and it's chock full of nerds and families. A friend I have in the UK who goes to indie shows says it's primarily smelly, 30 year old neckbeards.

    It was a gradual fall after 2001, but I vividly remember not being able to talk about or make wrestling references after the sixth grade (05/06?). That last year before high school man, something happened. Girls and other interests took over and the wrestling just wasn't something you were supposed to be into.

    The Money in the Bank match was awesome, though Orton being in it seemed pointless because he didn't do anything.

    I decided to start cooking breakfast when I saw The Great Khali walk out

    This Eugene segment is cringe

    Yeah that bump Hornswoggle took was cool. Khali vs Kane s----d. Eugene was past his prime.

    Both title matches are cool. I enjoyed McMahon vs The President (so weird to say now lol).
