How have I never heard about this. :50: You remember any interviews or articles off hand that came out during this era?

There was a thread about it on Ktt with some interviews.
and he references it in Clique "Went through deep depression when my mama passed/suicide what kinda talk was that"
He was further sent into depression when the whole Taylor Swift thing happened, which is why he went to Hawaii, to recluse to his work.

Think about how inspired you'd be if you planned to k--- yourself before your magnum opus is released. It makes sense why it's such an amazing album. He was going to show the world how beautiful his music was after he was gone.

    @Hasman @K18
put's new meaning to a majority of the lyrics too:

like his past tense references to himself in Gorgeous

    all of POWER:
"So goodnight, cruel world, I’ll see you in the morning
Huh? I’ll see you in the morning
This is way too much, I need a moment"
"I was drinking earlier, now I’m driving"
"Now this will be a beautiful death"

Fergies verse about depression in All of the Lights, which as I mentioned before refers to the POWER lyric "My inner child/I'm fighting for custody"

    Monster lyrics:
"The best living or dead hands down, huh"
"I'm living in the future so the present is my past
My presence is a present, kiss my a---
    "
plus the Intro "Are you willing to sacrifice your life"
and Outro "I crossed the line
    And I'll let God decide"

    Swizz's bridge in So Appalled:
    "Life can be sometimes ridiculous"

His fights with Amber as documented IN DIAND chronicle his depression.

Runaway works perfectly in this context

h--- of a Life documents his love for then taken Kim, further chronicling his depression

Blame Game again chronicling his depression

The skit and song being towards the end of the album isn't coincidental. The skit would have comedically showed people why a now dead Yeezy should have been appreciated.

Lost in the world, his poem for taken Kim, epitomizes his depression at the time.

Who Will Survive in America? NOT KANYE! (That was probably supposed to function as dark humor)

and then he would have ended it with Never See Me Again, which is full of suicide metaphors and clearly was supposed to be the last track he ever released

Oh, and See Me Now, was recorded after he reverted his decision, which the talking to lucifer lyric refers to.

I always thought this was well-known. I mean the "I have the power to make your life so exciting...suicide...suicide.. suicide..." bit at the end of Power made it kind of obvious. Also I don't think he ever really planned on killing himself, it was just a major theme of the album.

Probably MBDTF lol. But I can't say MBDTF is the better album, I've just listened to GKMC a lot over the last two years.

mm true. i feel man. I thought about it myself ...
    :khaled:
f--- it's hard to choose which i think is better and which i'd prefer to listen to. Even if I was a in a crowd setting (a big influence in my music taste atm tbh). like, you f---ing know everyone's going to go ham for songs like maad city/backseat freestyle and at the same time go just as ham for h--- of a life/monster.

I guess they are pretty equal for different reasons, but i'd maybe rate GKMC slightly higher just because it's pretty much kendrick's debut and MBDTF is like kanyes 4th album/kanye is a vet for making classics, ya feel?
