    To p---- A Butterfly:
A culturally derivative social commentary about African-Americans and their history, influence, and development in the Americas.

Who else would agree? If the album were to be summed up in one sentence.

I would add its story elements, as we're all not surprised TPAB is a fantastic overall story that covers said history & development

At first i did not like this album. I went in expecting it sound more like GKMC. But i just realized this album is truly a piece of art. Kendrick is on a whole nother level right now. Try smoking a fat one and press play.

This album is amazing. I like the new version of "i" way better than the original single. I also love Hood Politics. Whole album is a d--- masterpiece, instant classic in my opinion.

After 2 listens, my impression is that it is undoubtedly an extremely impressive album from a lyrical, technical, and production standpoint and will take many listens to fully digest, and it is an extremely important album in the sense of social commentary for race issues in 2015.......but...BUT...

From a listenability/replay value standpoint, it's easily inferior to GKMC/S80. I'm not going to be itching to get in the car and throw "U" on unless I have a fistful of antidepressants. I appreciate it for what it is, and I fully understand and respect Kendrick's motivation for making an album like this. I'm glad most of you love it instantly, and I may feel the same way (and i hope i do) after more listens, just my impression thus far.
