Ironically, faking a mental illness for album promo is behaviour considered that of someone with serious mental issues anyway — he’s definitely not faking it.

If you consider yourself a real Kanye fan—music or as a person—you should be praying that he gets the help he needs rather than wanting new music. He needs to go under the radar & seek some serious help; I feel sorry for him. Having a mental breakdown to millions worldwide isn’t album promo, nor is it funny.

first of all, this totally misunderstands how these episodes work—you’ve never had a friend in the throes of one of these call you and try to rope you into some grand, extremely important project they’re about to launch? making an album (at the same time as a shoe! a clothing line! a housing solution! a presidential bid!) is exactly in line with that. it’s literally textbook.

second, this isn’t some master marketing scheme, because he’s acted this way before and it doesn’t really work. he’s been at a point of diminishing cultural and commercial returns since yeezus, and his last rap album, very clearly a product of one of these episodes, was the 50th-most popular album of the year on billboard, despite having more raw attention on its creator than almost any other one.

Yeah, it is a mental illness and I don't understand why he's able to operate as publicly as he is. If I was in a relationship with this many issues, I'd do crazy s--- to protect them and get them help. I'd even risk the relationship.
