    My team aint even in the playoffs but im hyped as s--- for all of you. Vancouver has been spoiled with a lot of playoff hockey for a while so I'm happy for all of you guys. Rootin for OTT and EDM but if neither of them get it Caps or Sharks

    either we get a banged up, downwards trending sharks team, and the boys rally behind todd mcclellan (who will say this series means nothing more than a normal series, but we all know this is a grudge match for him)

    or we get a flames team who has 2 (?) wins against playoff teams since january.

    i think oilers are going to round 2 either way. but my ideal scenario is san jose round 1, and then round 2 we get the flames who upset a ducks team that is missing fowler, and their 1D lindholm is playing hurt.

    i go refresh the NHL standings every 15 minutes man, this is the first time i get to watch playoff hockey with my team in it in my entire adult life. wild.

    bro same, we're building our own "jurassic park" (i will never call it maple leaf square cause f--- the leafs i'm a raps fan) in edmonton right now, should be ready for next year's playoffs. but we got a spot inside the arena you can go without a ticket to watch, i'ma try to be there every game as well.

    if you guys clinch this ottawa match up today, your april is going to be so much better lolol. good luck tonight

    i'm cautiously optimistic for the oilers too, but anaheim has been playing so well that even shorthanded i think they pose a serious threat. the real question is if anyone will be within shouting distance of the blackhawks.

    as for the east, that s--- is a LOT more wide open that it had looked previously. columbus has been dreadful; pittsburgh might be terminal w the letang injury; the canadiens and rangers have been incredibly streaky. is it really possible washington goes all the way?

    word that's one reason i'm excited that nashville is playing them round 1, i feel like they're a dark horse with the fact it's a divisional series and also their top 4 d is incredible.

    also wash got the east (and the cup) imo. if it's not this year, then it's never.

    :laff: man is a beast, i know @IZZO gotta feel the same ill will toward him.

    he put up a ~25-25 season again this year despite looking playing up and down the first 3 lines this year trying to find a home

    one of a kind player in this league.

    what are your thoughts on this wildcard playoff set up, and forcing divisional matchups in the playoffs?

    i miss when the playoffs were where rivalries were made. like canucks vs blackhawks.

    I like the divisional rivalries but it f---s over the 2nd and third seed of each division. Look at the penguins and blue jackets for example. Both are favourites to win the cup but only one will make it to round 2

    I don't like it, mainly for selfish reasons cuz that means the wild usually get the d--- blackhawks in the 2nd round if they even make it there lol..

    But also a regular 1-8 seeding just makes more sense imo, should go back to that. No need to make it more complicated than it has to be.

    i think they'll go back to 1-8 seeding when they have an even number of teams in each conference.

    The new playoff layout is a--- imo sure it opens it up a bit for two teams to make it thru wildcard but divisional playoffs always lead to 2-4 good teams being knocked out when they could've easily gone on a nice run they should just bring back the conference layout. PS this has nothing to do with this but its still f--- Lucic with a passion
