Eat II is dope. Not feeling Options though. All the Youtube comments on Eat II are saying Tech is dissing ICP because of what they said in this interview (18:30):



Edit: Apparently Eat II is actually a sequel to Eat, which was a preorder track on Malta Bend that I never knew about. That track bangs too.

In a nutshell, Tech said in another interview that he believes that Strange Music's influence isn't so closely tied to the label ICP owns and doesn't necessarily owe ICP all the credit or props. ICP came back that Tech absolutely does owe his label's popularity, or at least some of it, to the ICP business model and brand.

ICP presented the information by saying they really like Tech and they're really cool with each other, but had to throw in the "But we have to set this straight for all the juggalos out there." So, who knows if it's malicious or not. It's clear Tech took it so.

I am trying SO hard to like these projects from Tech. Like no joke, but dear god this is another album. Per usual, a few decent tracks with basically 90% of it being stuff I will never listen to. Saffron has got to go. Dear god he is horrid. IDK if my tastes are changing but this is the same old awful s--- IMO. Morepower to ya if you enjoy it. I wish I did!

LOL "Love" ends up being better than any song on the actual album. Wow.

Another below average project by Tech and co...What the f--- is going on

I might like Strangeulation Vol.2 better than this...and that WAS his worst project.

Really good songs:
Love
Morning Till the Nightfall...of course its a Rittz song, just like Love...and Tech aint even on it lol

Average to good songs:
Angels in the Playground...Could've been better, but its a good song
Jesus and a Pill...Prozak's verse is more memorable than most of Tech's verses...sad
Casket Music..Again, dope I guess, but feels like something is missing
Bacon...Average, but the beat is okay and I missed Brotha Lynch
Wheels Like Hills...Average
Drama...One of the better songs on here
Nevermind Me...Hook sucks
The Answer...Average Ces Cru sounding song
Mo Ammo...Not a fan of the beat. Tech & Rittz verses are okay, but they've done better

Not good:
Fish in a Pita...Seriously might be the worst song ever. I mean seriously?? This is how you definitely know Tech has run out of s--- to rap about. My god.
Put Em On...One of the better beats on the album IMO, but Safron absolutely ruins it

There were more highs on Strangeulation Vol.2 than this (Praise KOD, Slow to Me, MMM, Push Start, Tech's cypher)

Hate to say it, but Tech has fallen the f--- off. His last 3 projects have been so average, if that. Special Effects was his last really good project.

I dont know what the f--- is going on lol. Obviously the production has been one of the biggest issues, as everyone's mentioned over and over again. But Tech has just run out of s--- to talk about. His verses are so much lazier, he's not killing it like he was before. The hooks aren't near as good. The Safron signing was terrible and he ruins everything he's on. Travis' daughter has a good voice, but they're forcing her on us too and I haven't been digging alot of the songs she's been on lately. And obviously he's rushing s--- out for some reason, maybe because he knows his days are numbered due to getting older so he's trying to cash in as much as he can. I dont f---in know. But everything sounds rushed now, because it is. He just f---ing released The Storm like 3 months ago lol.

Disappointed, even though my expectations were not high at all after his last 2 projects. This sucks.

i wish tech would drop that chopper flow already. it was great on MMM and a few others but seems like that's all he does now and i find it hard to listen to because of how stale it has became to me.

Nevermind me - could have been great if the hook was better, or not existed to begin with. (i think this is the second song about partying, getting high etc that i enjoyed from tech. caribou lou being the first.)
Wheels like hill - I only like tech's second verse and hook and his flow.
Jesus and a pill - i have no complaints about this song, i love it. Prozak had a better verse than techs.

I find myself enjoying other strange music's artistes verses more than techs verses these days. not sure what to make of that yet.

Sooooo this is bad...
Some random thoughts:
-Fish in a pita is a -1/10 track
-Production for the most part is boring and bland
-Darrian saffron is the worst thing to happen to Strange
-Mackenzie is talented but I sure as s--- do not wanna be force fed her crap.
-Tech is running out of things to rap about (for the last 2 years actually)
-wtf is with all these HORRIBLE hooks? A ton of songs would be decent if it wasn't for the unlistenable hooks. Anything with Saffron is an instant skip. I just want Krizz or someone good on the hooks not singing about smelly vaginas n s---.
-love the hypocrisy nowadays. You have these murderious rappers like ces and murs rapping about how much they can't stand fake s--- and then here is auto tune saffron on the hook making music for 14 year old girls. Sounds like the commercial generic bs.
-love is a preorder bonus track LOL
-where the f--- is the hard rapping JL on this album?
-Where the f--- is Mayday? You have at your disposal one of the greatest groups in music and you barely utilize them.

bright side of things:
-Murs f---ing kills it with his verses I think.
-ces, rittz, and stone also deliver some great verses.
-BLH delivers a solid verse. Very fun hearing that the first time.
-cold piece of work sounds awesome

Drama- surprisingly solid song.

Casket music-one of my favorites off the album. Maybe even my favorite. Hook kind of throws it off but I love the beat. I love high energy tracks and this delivers

Put em on-saffron takes this song from about an 8 down to a 3. Solid beat and great verses from both tech and stone

Wheels like hill-another enjoyable song but nothing amazing. Notice it's a tech solo track. Once again hook is awful and ruins it.

Nevermind me-feel like I've heard this song 100x from strange music. Hook is terrible for the millionth time.

Some good- Christ sooooo boring. Was expecting something epic with JL and techs track record....not what I got unfortunately

Reloaded-saffron again bringing this s--- waaaaaaay down. Boring, but godemis delivers

Bacon-pretty dope beat. They all k--- it but no tech wtf? The only song with BLH but maybe that's for the better cuz murs and godemis k--- it and obvi BLH

Shoe game-no comment 0/10

The answer- "getting twisted like two nipples" that's a lyric on this song. Decent track 5/10

Salute- really fun track I LOVE MURSDAY.

Fish in a pita as stated actually reaches into the negatives score wise.

Mo Ammo- possibly my fav track on the album. Love the guitar, flow, and the energy it brings.

Lowdown- saffron 1/10 track

Morning till night-slow and boring. I like Rittz on this though.

Take you down- couldn't finish it

Jesus and a pill- Prozak and a rock rock/guitar beat? Sound familiar. Yep it's bad. The beat when tech is rapping is alright but once the hook comes in it's awful. See a pattern yet?

Angels in the playground- I REALLY should like this song but I just can't get into it. It seems to fall so flat honestly

Cold piece- sounds dope I can't wait to hear JL on this.

So where does this rank right now. Eh gates is still the worst IMO. It lies somewhere in the barren wasteland of strangeulation 2 and the storm. I'm gonna go bump some WTS and some tracks from strangulation 1 like "We are free" to cleanse my ears.

I definitely agree that the hooks are bringing the album down. There are way too many mediocre hooks.
