Mar 5, 2015 To each their own. On another note season 1 ends a month from tomorrow. That's really kind of depressing.
Mar 5, 2015 Aw man but at least it's signed on for s2 and, let's be real, it's gonna get all 5/6 seasons it wants
Mar 6, 2015 Too lazy to go back and read, but did people have a problem with the pacing? I was lurking the BCS Reddit and there's a decent amount of people who think last episode suffered from filler, specifically the scenes with Jimmy's potential clients. I thought those scenes were gr8, probably the only time I've laughed out loud so far.
Mar 6, 2015 They were apparently suppose to symbolize how the audience feels with the transition of jimmy becoming saul
Mar 6, 2015 I enjoyed it, who doesn't like a pedo toilet? Not to mention the ending setting up for a Mike episode next week.
Mar 6, 2015 I think they're going to be the perfect contrast to how much of a whirlwind Jimmy's life becomes post-breaking Saul (c wut i did there)
Mar 6, 2015 Jesse seeks out Saul for one last mission when we finally catch up to the flash forward. You heard it here first.
Mar 6, 2015 Ha, I was having serious Better Call Saul shower thoughts this morning. The Jesse + Saul future possibilities are endless. Personally, I don't want to see a Jesse cameo in present time BCS (early 2000s). Aaron Paul looks much older (and heavier) now, but it makes sense for the future, and we'll finally get more info on what happened to Jesse after he drove off.. Which is a question EVERYONE asked Vince after Breaking Bad ended. Edit: Jesse would also be a teenager
Mar 6, 2015 Definitely if they go post-Breaking Bad. Trying to fit characters like Jesse & Walt in pre-Breaking Bad just to appease fans will kinda be a little cheesy, but having a Jesse-included storyline on the post side would make a lot of sense How f----- up would it be after like 6 seasons of BCS, we find out Walt is still alive in a flash forward
Mar 6, 2015 I always thought/hoped that Better Call Saul would ultimately bring on another Breaking Bad run but I guess they could conclude Walt and Jesse's stories within this show but I'd hate for the Saul character to become second fiddle to that potential storyline..this would be a dream come true regardless
Mar 6, 2015 I agree. I'm trying to give them the benefit of the doubt because with the amount of time they've put into that storyline, you can tell its gonna be significant. Not doing much for me right now though..
Mar 6, 2015 The most intriguing aspect is that Jimmy doesn't live town or anything. He becomes Saul, and a celebrity, right where he currently is...which means all these characters, including his girl and his brother, somehow vanish from the face of the planet by the time BB's timeline starts.. I also think a couple scenes with his brother where done really well (like getting the newspaper and the cops showing up). but yeah, it's definitely gonna be a significant turning point for Jimmy. I feel like his brother's death or something along those lines will be the catalyst required to fully become a "criminal" lawyer.
Mar 6, 2015 Yeah, but that doesn't mean they won't need/find eachother in the future. Saul is clearly still paranoid about something. All he needs to do is visit ABQ, find Badger and Skinny Pete, and get Jesse's whereabouts. There's still 80 million dollars sitting at the Nazi compound (assuming the cops didn't find it). I'd go back for it.
Mar 6, 2015 Well yeah I'd be paranoid also given the fact that he's a fugitive and went from making millions to his new fake life making cinnabons. I hope a future Jesse reunitement does happen though.
